Family Album "Mitene", which supports the "connection" of families living apart through technology

Points of this service
  • A service that allows you to easily "store, share, and organize" photos and videos of your children that you tend to neglect
  • A variety of innovations have been made so that grandparents who are not familiar with smartphones can enjoy the experience together.
  • There are many happy comments from users, such as how it has strengthened the bonds between family members who live far apart and shortened the distance between them.

Due to the declaration of a state of emergency caused by the spread of the new coronavirus, I believe that most of you were unable to return home during Golden Week this year. I'm sure there are many of you who regret that you won't have the chance to get to know your grandparents at home. That's why I'd like to recommend the photo sharing app "Mitene". This service, which allows you to share photos with your smartphone, computer, tablet, etc., is designed to be easy to use not only for mothers and fathers but also for grandparents who are not familiar with smartphones, and provides a place for families to interact using photos. The editorial team at BabyTech.jp interviewed Yuko Shiraiwa (Marketing G, Mitene Division, Mixi Inc.), the developer of "Mitene", and asked her about the service, its development, and future plans.

Mr. Shiraiwa is involved in the development of "Mitene".

Free and unlimited space! Hassle-free photo "sharing, organizing, storing, and ordering photo books" is now functional!

Editor: Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule today. Could you give us an overview of "Mitene" and its features?

Shiraiwa: "Mitene" is a service that allows families to share photos and videos of their children. It's free to use and has unlimited space, and the feature that allows you to organize photos and videos by month just by uploading them is also popular. Many mothers are very busy after giving birth, and even if they take photos, it's hard for them to organize them.

You can upload and share as many images and videos as you want.

Editor: I'm afraid it's personal, but my wife takes a lot of photos too, but she's not organized at all. ......

Shiraiwa: If that's the case, even if you upload photos taken in the past at a later date, they'll still be organized according to the date and time they were taken, so please give "Mite Ne" a try (laughs). Another popular feature is the "1 second video" function, which automatically picks up memories from uploaded photos and videos and makes them into a single video. This is a one-second movie of your seasonal memories, and it is sent out four times a year to free users.
