FreeDPE is a service that allows you to make a photo from your digital camera or smartphone.
You can print the photo you have made by linking it to a multi-copy machine at FamilyMart or Lawson nationwide. The size of the proof photo can be selected in 1mm increments, so it can be used for a variety of purposes such as resumes, qualification exams, and passport photos for infants. In addition, in March 2019, we released the AI Background Composition Option, which can automatically change the background of the photo to white or blue.
Development process and issues addressed
Even babies need a passport when they go abroad, so they need a certified photo.
It's not easy for babies to cry, to be taken to the store, or to be taken with a photo machine. Passport photos have a detailed standard for the size of the face, so it's difficult to process them to size yourself, so FreeDPE has made it easy to make passport photos for babies with your smartphone and a convenience store.

The face detection function automatically detects the face of the person, and since it's difficult for babies to get a straight shot, the angle adjustment function allows you to adjust the angle of the face. The need to take a photo doesn't disappear, and even if you can do it with a smartphone, you still need to print it out in the end, so I'm personally interested in the business side of the company, because they've done a good job of creating a system with a stable business model (lol).
