From November 26 to 27, 2020, the BabyTech® Award Japan 2020 powered by DNP Dai Nippon Printing (hereinafter referred to as "BTAJ2020"), which recognizes BabyTech® products and services in Japan, was held at the Shinjuku NS Building Event Hall. In a previous issue of Baby Tech.jp, we talked to Naomi Oshima and Haruna Hamamoto, who are in charge of BabyTech at DNP, the title sponsor of BTAJ2020, about how the company got involved in BabyTech, and how they worked with Papa Smile Co. (DNP), the sponsor of BTAJ2020, about how the company became involved in BabyTech, the partnership agreement with Papa Smile, and their expectations for BTAJ2020. The "enthusiasm" and "sympathy" for BabyTech that we felt because we were there in person
Editor: Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule today. First of all, could you tell us again about your company's aims and aspirations for sponsoring BTAJ2020?
Oshima: We had three main goals in sponsoring this event. First, we wanted to spread the word that we were entering the baby tech field. The third is to understand the movements of companies related to baby tech and make connections with them.
Editor: Thank you very much. Now that the "BTAJ2020" award ceremony, speeches by award-winning companies, and exhibition of award-winning products have been held, what was your impression of the event that you attended?
Oshima: First of all, I am glad that the event was held safely under the circumstances of the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Thanks to the cooperation of the management and visitors in taking measures such as wearing masks, disinfection, and temperature checks, I felt that the event was a fulfilling one in a safe environment.
