At CES, the world's largest electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to 10, 2020, attention to "baby tech" products has been growing for the past few years. This year, P&G, a global household goods manufacturer that sells Pampers diapers, unveiled Lumi, an IoT diaper, which created quite a stir. Lumi" skillfully combines existing technologies in a package to present consumers with an image of the future childcare environment. P&G has emerged as a pioneer in bringing technology to the world of consumer goods such as diapers. In the baby tech field, the "CryAnalyzer Auto" developed by First Ascent Inc. drew attention as a "unique and innovative product". This is a brushed-up version of the "cry diagnosis function" included in the company's parenting app, "Pappato Parenting @ Baby Notebook," which won the grand prize at the Baby Tech Awards Japan 2019. It automatically records and analyzes the baby's cries and tells you the baby's emotions (i.e. the reason for crying). In this article, Tomoyuki Hattori, CEO of First Ascent Inc. and Tetsuya Nagata, CEO of Papa Smile Inc. talk about the response to the announcement of CryAnalyzer Auto at CES, the development process, and future plans.
