outline

Lukumi Photo is an IoT photo service dedicated to nursery schools and kindergartens that was created with the sole purpose of reducing the burden of photo work to "zero" so that nursery teachers can focus on their children.

If you notice, you can take a picture of a natural smile.
The photos you take are automatically uploaded. Out of focus and missed shots are automatically excluded.
Even the number of photos taken by each preschooler is automatically checked.

This is a complete range of ancillary services.

Development process and issues addressed

Unifa Corporation President Toki's older sister is a nursery school teacher, and she has seen firsthand how difficult it is to be a nursery school teacher.

We wanted to enrich family communication and reduce the workload of the nursery staff, so we thought, "If parents can see photos of their children that can only be seen at nursery school, and if grandparents can see them too, then the whole family can watch their children grow. ?

He added, "If daycare workers just take pictures and the rest of the process is fully automated, we can cut down on the hassle of putting up, collecting, and handing out pictures, and parents won't have to spend time picking out pictures when they don't have time to pick up their children.

With this in mind, we set out to develop an Internet photo service that would best reduce the burden of photo work for childcare workers.

BabyTech Editor's Comment

A solution that comprehensively captures the photo management operations of childcare facilities from "good morning to good night".

  • Automate the process of taking photos by using the dedicated app or the automatic camera.
  • Automate the hassle of finding your own child with facial recognition
  • Allow parents to make payments on their phones and automate money management.

It is inevitable that day-care workers take daily photos within the range possible during teachers' work, and it also requires comprehensiveness and photography skills. I thought it would be a good idea to have the system automatically take pictures and select good ones from them, so that children can see their natural faces every day without being conscious of the camera, and it would also reduce the burden on the daycare workers.
I myself design products that make everyone involved happy by designing business operations for a living, so I can honestly say that I learned a great deal. Currently, there are about 2,300 companies using the system, but I believe we can still expand our market share. I hope that next year's awards will see the introduction of 5,000 facilities.
