Aiming to add 'technology', 'experts' and 'partners' to parenting
Editor: Thank you very much for your time today. Can you quickly give us an overview and features of the new brand 'Baby Care Plus' and the new service 'Baby Care Plus Channel'?
Chiba: Baby Care Plus is our new business offering based on the concept of "peace of mind in child rearing". Until now, we have provided the childcare record application Papatto Ikko and the IoT device ainenne separately, but from now on, the framework will allow users to acquire our new common ID, the Baby Care Plus ID, and use that ID to use our entire service.
The nuance of this Baby Care Plus in Japanese is 'plus for parenting'. The specifics of what we mean by 'plus' are 'plus technology', 'plus experts' and 'plus partners', which is the concept of the services offered by BabyCare Plus.
Technology plus, for example, is specifically the provision of so-called baby tech, such as PapaToday and ainenne. And 'experts plus' means providing services in cooperation with experts in childcare, such as Papatto Ikkoji@Seminar. In order to realise our goal of communicating evidence-based information, which has always been important to us, we believe that we need to not only utilise AI, but also work together with experts. Finally, Partner Plus is about creating an environment where dads and mums, and even those around them, can work together on childcare. For example, Papatto childcare could link information on multiple smartphones so that partners can cooperate with each other. We want to provide an environment where not only dads and mums, but also grandparents and grandmothers can easily participate in childcare, and to this end we want to create a system that delivers the latest childcare information and encourages participation in childcare.
