Development process and issues addressed
With one in two people said to suffer from some form of allergy, this is one of the priority areas that Japan is making a concerted effort to address.
Particularly serious is the increase in the number of infants with severe food allergies, which in many cases can be fatal. Basically, they rely on daily diet therapy, but even skilled pediatric allergy specialists have difficulty finding cause-and-effect relationships between food allergies and identifying allergens in their diets.
