BTA2023 AWARD-WINNING PRODUCTS ANNOUNCED!

I understand! I can talk! You can try! BabyTech Community Open

We are looking for community members who want to make the most of the ever-evolving and diverse BabyTech services available to them!

What is the BabyTech community?

This community is mainly for parents with children aged 0-6 years old, as well as pre-natal parents and mums-to-be who want to actively use technology such as gadgets, apps and consumer electronics in their childcare.

You can find out what methods (especially gadgets, apps and tools) are being used to approach the problems of raising children.
If you have an app, device or gadget that you are interested in, please join our community.
Let's share information and enjoy parenting together.

The community also organises events with companies offering BabyTech services and people who are very knowledgeable about BabyTech.

What do you do?

The community uses a communication tool called Slack, which allows members to talk to each other in different channels such as "Home appliances: furniture", "Going out", "Health" and "Fun and learning". We also organise events on an irregular basis, where we have the opportunity to have real conversations using ZOOM. This can lead to requests to try out gadgets or to write interviews with people who have used them.
We also judge the BabyTech Award Japan, and organise events with tool and app developers.
(We will also be hosting an online event to give you an insight into CES 2022 in Las Vegas next January)

I live with my wife and child.
I found out about the BabyTech community while I was gathering knowledge and information about raising a child for the first time just after my child was born. I had no prior knowledge of BabyTech and only had a vague idea of how it could be incorporated into my life in terms of balancing work and sharing information between couples. Since joining
, I've found it interesting and informative to watch the slack channel where everyone uploads information about parenting (not just tech-related, but also food, fun, etc.). There are also occasional calls for trials of BabyTech related services, and I'm always happy to help out. It's a great opportunity for me and my wife to be impressed by the latest technology and to create good memories with our children.
You provide us with a variety of opportunities and we enjoy taking part at our own time. Thank you for everything!

Daisuke Inoue

I've been a member of the BabyTech community for three months now, and beyond the joy of being part of a fun community, I've found that there are other parents out there who are struggling to raise their children, and I find this community to be an encouraging place to work together.
My motivation for joining is that I've been writing casual articles in my notebook, and I've also been writing about childcare as a source of inspiration. I think it all started when Sachie Takahashi (a.k.a. sachi) introduced me to the "Papa Power Test" childcare quiz. I got involved with BabyTech.jp and was introduced to this community by Mr. Nagata, a representative of Papa Smile Co.
What I love about this community is that you can be the first to get information about new appliances, gadgets and tools for play and learning. As a parent, I also appreciate the fact that I can feel free to ask for help with childcare issues.

Mr. Miyashin

I was wondering what kind of products are useful for raising children. That's what I thought. I am glad that I joined this group because I think it will make my child raising more fun and easier.

Whenever one of our members tweets about a problem, we all say, "We have something like this! How about this idea? How about this kind of device? You can get a lot of wisdom from the community that you can't get from word of mouth on the internet. I've used a few of them myself and they continue to dramatically change my life and parenting.

Also, the overall atmosphere is very relaxed, which is very comforting. Sometimes when I'm busy I just read what the members are saying, other times I'll join in on a conversation if the topic interests me. It's a loose, but informative and fun community with a wide variety of members, both mums and dads, people who create services and people who use them!
