Codomoto Corporation, provider of the "Mama Papa Map" nursing room search application, winner of the BabyTech Award Japan 2019 Award of Excellence in the Nursing and Meals category, is expanding its search service capabilities in partnership with Meiji Co.
From the press release
(President and Representative Director: Katsuya Matsuda) and Codomoto Co., Ltd. (President and Representative Director: Ken Muraishi) will launch a service on April 1 to search for stores selling "Meiji Hohoemi Raku Raku Milk" liquid infant formula on the "Mama 888 Map" nursing room and diaper changing station search service.
We will start by posting information on approximately 2,000 stores, mainly in the Kanto region. We plan to update this information as needed and expand it to include more than 10,000 stores nationwide. For mothers and fathers with infants and toddlers, it is important to know whether or not there is a nursing room or diaper changing station at the place where they are going out. According to a survey of "Mamapapa Map" users, 86% of the users refer to the information on "Mamapa Map" from the stage of deciding where to go out.
On the other hand, liquid infant formula, which went on sale in March 2019, does not require any formula preparation work and is used not only for disaster stockpiling purposes but also in a wide range of situations, such as feeding infants when out and about with infants or when returning home. Today, in addition to drugstores and baby goods stores, the product is increasingly available at convenience stores, theme parks, service areas, vending machines at some roadside stations, and various other locations, making it easy to purchase on the go.
We developed this service based on the idea that we could support mothers and fathers when they go out by adding information on stores that sell "Meiji Hohoemi Raku Raku Milk" to the information on nursing rooms and diaper changing stations on the "Mamapapa Map" so that it can be easily seen at a glance.
According to Meiji, this kind of lead from a nursing room search and retrieval application to a liquid milk retailer is the first of its kind in Japan.
The award committee is pleased to see many BabyTech Award Japan award-winning services entering into various business partnerships and procurements over the past year, and is pleased to see that this award is being fairly evaluated to introduce high-value products and services.
