Product Features
The greatest feature of MAMORU is that it employs a key removal interlocking system as a function not found in other products*. Unlike the engine stop interlocking system that is activated by the general key OFF operation, there is no need to operate the switch, etc. unless the key is removed when not immediately after pick-up or drop-off, such as during refueling, cleaning, maintenance, etc. The key is not required to be operated unless it is removed. (*As of March 31, 2023, according to our own research, the key-removal interlocked type is a unique feature of HKS's "MAMORU.)
Based on the results of demonstration tests, we have adopted the key-removal interlocking system in response to many comments that "it is very burdensome to have to press the switch every time the engine is stopped, even when not picking up or dropping off passengers, refueling, cleaning, maintenance, etc." We have adopted the key-removal interlocking system because of this. After the key is removed and the vehicle safety check is completed, simply press the "Confirmation Button" to activate the system.
In addition, a motion sensor is also included as an auxiliary function for the confirmation system when exiting the vehicle to double watch over the vehicle. In the event of an abnormality, the system notifies the driver with a horn alarm and an emergency e-mail to quickly rescue precious lives in case of emergency.
