Users can create communities on their favorite themes and interact safely and securely within the app
(Shibuya-ku, Tokyo), a developer and provider of social networking application services for children 12 and under, has released updated versions of both the iOS and Android versions of its application, adding and implementing a "community" function as a new feature on the application.
In addition to the existing functionality of a timeline where children post and share short videos of their creations and daily life, users can now join a community of their choice, exchange comments with each other, and share videos only within the community.
We have also introduced a new "4kiz point" which is a condition for being able to create your own community.
■What is "4kiz", a social networking application for children under 12 years old?
All major SNS services (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, etc.) are restricted to those 13 years of age or older under their terms of use, and LINE is also recommended for those 12 years of age or older. On the other hand, with many children under the age of 12 now possessing smartphones and tablets in recent years, an increasing number of elementary school students are using existing social networking services in violation of the terms of use, and problems such as sexual crimes and social networking bullying are occurring frequently, exposing children to a situation that is by no means safe.
In response, this summer we released an app called "4kiz," a safe and secure SNS application for children under 12 years old that allows users to post and share short videos (5 to 60 seconds) of children's drawings, blocks, insect and plant observations, free research, cartoons, cooking, programming, game playing, and other works and daily life scenes. Since the release of the app, it has been widely reported on TV and in newspapers.
Since its release, the application has become a hot topic on TV, newspapers, and other media, and has been downloaded by many families with children under 12 across the country.

New "Community" feature added to ■4kiz
The new "Community" function, which has been newly added and implemented, allows children who are 4kiz users to create groups with freely set themes and interact within the groups through text and short video exchanges.
Communities can choose whether community leaders are free-to-join or invite/approve, and whether parental approval is required for community participation.
Community leaders are required to accumulate "4kiz points," which are accumulated by making posts and comments approved by the 4kiz Management Office, and various other measures are taken to ensure healthy community management.
EXISTING FUNCTIONS TO PREVENT SNS BULLYING, SLANDER, AND CRIME, SUCH AS NG WORDS AND AUTOMATIC DETECTION BY AI, ARE ALSO REFLECTED IN THIS COMMUNITY, WHICH IS DESIGNED WITH SAFETY IN MIND.
