App.

Background of the function implementation

First Ascent is carrying out research and development using the childcare big data collected by Papatto Childcare. They are currently planning to provide new services based on the results of the research, and as a preliminary step, they have renewed the design to provide a better user experience.
In conjunction with this renewal, they have focused on the fact that there are situations where it is difficult to easily visit the family doctor due to the Corona disaster, and have come to implement an online urgency check function that uses Papatto Childcare to derive an indication of a hospital visit based on the child's symptoms.

Online Urgency Check" function

By answering medically supervised questions about your child's physical condition and symptoms in a chat format, you can get an indication of the level of urgency and the need for a hospital visit. If the urgency is high, you can search for a holiday or night-time medical service in your area.

This function can be used from the "Consultation" section of the Papatto Childcare App. Along with the addition of this function, a function to search for the nearest local government childcare consultation office based on location information has also been added.

Dr Toshiken Mitsui

Board-certified paediatrician by the Japanese Paediatric Society, paediatric advisor, Doctor of Medicine

"If you are concerned about your child's health, you may often wonder whether you should see a doctor. A tool that allows you to easily discuss whether you should see a doctor on your smartphone is becoming more and more necessary in this age of With Corona. We hope that with this 'Online Urgency Check' we can respond to some of the worries that parents feel every day."

Dr. Narumi's comments (medical supervision)

Dr Kakushi Narumi
Doctor of Medicine, paediatric specialist accredited by the Japanese Paediatric Society

"Since the outbreak of coronavirus infections, there has been a nationwide decline in the number of patients visiting pediatricians. As a pediatrician, I am concerned that this may lead to excessive refraining from seeing a doctor, including for vaccinations and infant checkups. In such a situation, I believe that the "Online Urgency Check", which displays the guidelines for seeing a pediatrician about changes in a child's condition that are encountered while raising a child, will help people make smart decisions about seeing a pediatrician, such as "See a pediatrician if there is a high level of urgency and necessity, and do not see a pediatrician if there is a low level of urgency and necessity. If it is not urgent or necessary, do not see the doctor."

Key Features of the Updated Papatto Parenting @ Baby Notebook

Significant increase in childcare record functions.

At the same time, the display area for the childcare record timeline has been expanded. The selection field for the childcare record icons can be swiped up and down to increase the number of icons displayed, and can be used in the same way as before. The upper part of the record screen reflects the status of the day's 'breast milk, formula', 'wee', 'poo' and 'sleep' childcare records, making it easier to keep track of your child's situation.
