Birth rate twice the global average! Baby tech attracts attention in Israel

ISRAEL HAS TWICE THE AVERAGE FERTILITY RATE OF ANY OTHER ORGANIZATION FOR ECONOMIC COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT (OECD) COUNTRY.

There was a feature article about a baby tech startup that is being born in Israel.
Israel's Baby-Tech Boom: 9 Startups for New Parents

Here's a quick rundown of the services that were featured here.

Nanit

It's a service that uses a baby monitor (camera) to monitor and analyze your baby's sleep patterns in real time, providing behavioral analysis, expert advice, and video sleep summaries.

Caring Eye

This infant car seat monitor is shaped like the head of a teddy bear. The idea is that it takes a picture of your baby in the rear-facing car seat, tracks him or her, and if there is a choking or other emergency, you'll be alerted immediately so you can focus on driving.

EarlySense

A service for hospitals that places monitoring devices under mattresses to manage a patient's breathing, heart rate, and movement on the bed. Founded in 2004, the company has already raised $152 million through business partnership agreements with Japanese startups.

Momsense

It is a product that has the theme of not giving up breastfeeding. It uses a device that looks like a stethoscope for infants. When breastfeeding, a small sensor and microphone are placed under the baby's ear to record physiological swallowing patterns. The device uses the recorded data to measure and monitor the flow, quantity and quality of milk.

Wheelness Lifestyle

It is a startup that has developed an add-on wheel to turn any stroller into an electric vehicle. It comes with a built-in rechargeable battery that allows you to push the stroller at low speeds. The device works for up to 40 minutes.

FreeWill

We develop customizable adapters that connect any wheelchair to any stroller so that wheelchair parents can independently take their babies for walks.

Nanobebe

The company is developing a breast-shaped baby bottle designed to preserve the nutritional value of breast milk. The company says it reduces warming time and prevents overheating from temperatures that damage nutrients. The unique design of its bottles allows the milk to cool faster in the fridge.

MilkStrip

We are a breast milk testing startup. The founding company is molecular biologists from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. Samples are analyzed and sent to a mobile app that provides recommended diets to treat deficiencies and problems. The company's first product is for breast milk that has been pre-milked and frozen to test whether refrigeration or defrosting has negatively impacted its quality.

babyTRACKS

babyTRACKS is a service that helps parents monitor and support their child's development for delays such as autism. It builds a personalized developmental profile for each child. It motivates parents to catch and treat developmental delays at an early stage.

babyTRACKS allows users to create a digital diary that records developmental milestones in their child's life. You can view statistics related to your child's progress and development.

I've introduced them in a few words, but many of the services include the three main elements of baby tech: scientific evidence + monitoring devices + visualization with smartphone apps. I'd like to write about them in detail separately in another article.
