iBabyMonitor" monitors baby's condition in real time

Introducing the iBabyMonitor, a wifi-connectable monitor for real-time monitoring of your baby.

There are three types of iBaby Monitor, with the top of the line model offering 1080p high quality recording, checking for dirty air, and measuring humidity and room temperature. The mid-range model is 720p and has no air conditioning detection, and the entry-level model has no checks at all. For a moment, I thought it was a webcam, but given the fact that it can shoot at night and rotate 360 degrees, I can see a need for this. Fixed-point observation is supposed to be IoT's forte, right?

User Reviews

The middle class iBabyMonitor M6T seems to be selling well and had the most comments on Amazon.com reviews.

One thing that I thought might be a problem for sure was that it said that the camera seemed to have a single focus and that you couldn't change those focuses. I'm not sure if you can change it remotely from the app, and a lot of reviews said the slow wifi connection affected video streaming and made it useless. You're using your home wifi, and if you're going outside of that, you're relying on your internet connection, so I thought the fact that it's environment dependent was a crying shame.

Users don't really care about WIfi frequencies, so it seems like a good idea to market it up with a recommended start-up kit.

There's also a review that says it's good for monitoring pets while you're away, but not babies.
