Owlet Baby Monitor" monitors infant's body temperature and blood oxygen level

Owlet Baby Monitor

How to use Owlet Baby Monitor

The baby wears a Smart Sock, a monitoring device on a sock. This device monitors the baby's heart rate and blood oxygen levels while he or she sleeps. The data is sent via Bluetooth to a device called Base Statiton, and the data stored in Base Station is viewed through the Owlet smartphone app. The most important feature of the device is that by monitoring the blood oxygen level, it is possible to check whether the baby's breathing is becoming excessively shallow during sleep.

business model

Buy the Smart Sock and Base Station for $249 outright. The app is free to use. It's not a rental, it's a buyout. It is the model of a certain iron plate that makes you buy a device as an initial investment and then purchase consumables.

User Reviews

It has 228 customer reviews on Amazon.com, 64% of which are 5 stars.

What bothered me was the comment "It's annoying that the monitor alerts me "Is the baby awake? The Owlet device seems to have a hard time taking measurements when the baby is asleep (lying down and not moving much), so that seems to be a point for improvement in the future.

There is also a review of the Owlet Baby Monitor on Fatherly, a YouTube channel for baby tech loving dads. What I found most interesting is that the distance between the Base Station and Socks is only 15-20 feet (4.5-6.0 meters).
