Unifa Corporation, developer of the Lukumi series, raises 3.5 billion yen


There are some big deals in motion in the Japanese baby tech industry!

Unifa Corporation (headquartered in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture; Yasuyuki Toki, CEO; hereinafter "Unifa"), the company behind the BTAJ2019 Facility Management Category Grand Prize "Lukumi Photo," the Safety Measures Category Excellence Prize "Lukumi Noon Sleep Check," and the Health Management Category Excellence Prize "Lukumi Thermometer," has raised a Series C round of announced on September 27, 2019 that it has raised a total of approximately 3.5 billion yen through a third-party allotment of new shares to new investors and existing shareholders in Japan and overseas.
Based on the financing in this round, the company announced that it has acquired the Kidsly business, a childcare ICT service provider founded by Recruit Marketing Partners, Inc. from FREIBELKAN Co.

We have high expectations for the collaboration between Kidsly, which supports group childcare operations with a focus on communication between preschools and parents, and the Rukumi series, which is already in development, to realize Unifa's vision of "smart preschools," and to make useful use of the data obtained.
