- The following is content from the press release -

(Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Seiji Mihara) announces the addition of a new function to the labor management function of its ICT business support system for childcare workers and kindergartens, "Childcare Worker Bank! Connect", an ICT business support system for childcare workers and kindergartens.

Childcare Worker Bank! Connect has been helping childcare facilities improve their operational efficiency in shift, attendance, and labor management as a solution service for reforming the way childcare workers work. In particular, the system has been highly evaluated for its ease of operation, which allows shift creation, attendance tally, and paid and overtime management to be performed on the same system, which is tailored to the actual conditions of the childcare facility, and even links to payroll software.

We have implemented a new "Shift Requested Leave Application" function to save communication labor that occurs in the preliminary stages of shift creation. We have also upgraded the "Automatic Shift Generation" function to improve the accuracy of shift creation automation.

This will significantly reduce the time spent on the complex task of shift creation and further improve the efficiency of childcare operations.

New features and upgrades that have been added

Shift request leave request function

It is estimated that 95.8%* of childcare workers at childcare facilities are women, and the reality is that shifts are generated taking into account life events and family situations. As a concrete example, each daycare center spends a great deal of time collecting shift requests from its staff (more than 70 in many cases, as shown in the example of one of our introduced daycare centers) while creating shifts to ensure fairness in terms of the number of staff assigned to each shift. The new "Request for Shift Requested Leave" function allows staff to submit shift requests directly from their smartphones and have them reflected in the shift schedule in one go, which is expected to improve many of the shift creation and shift management issues in the childcare industry.

Upgrade of automatic shift generation

With the release of "Automatic Shift Generation" in October 2022, some childcare facilities have decided to introduce "Childcare Worker Bank! Connect" with such comments as, "The time required to generate shifts has been greatly reduced.

Based on the feedback we have received, we have upgraded the software to enable automatic shift generation that is more site-specific. The number of children, number of staff, ratio of full-time employees, and shift creation methods differ from one facility to another, and it has become a challenge to create shifts in a fair and equitable manner. The new version of the system will make it easier and faster to create shift plans, thereby saving labor in the complicated shift creation process at childcare facilities. The new version of the software will make it easier and faster to create shift plans, thereby saving labor in the complex task of shift creation at childcare facilities! Connect's strength, "centralized management of shifts, attendance records, paid management, and overtime management," will be easily available.
