(Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yasuyuki Toki; hereafter "Unifa"), a company that uses technology to solve social issues related to childcare and child rearing, will hold the "One Step to the Future Seminar" with the aim of creating an environment where childcare providers can further enjoy childcare with excitement in the ever-changing childcare environment.
1. "One Step into the Future" Seminar - Visualization of childcare realized by Lukumi
Background
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government launched the "Tokyo Suruwaku Program Promotion Project" in March of this year to support exploratory activities based on the interests of infants and toddlers, and the move to create an environment that caters to the interests of each child has been accelerating. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been accelerating its efforts to create an environment that supports the interests and concerns of each individual child.
Lukumi, a comprehensive ICT service for childcare facilities, has been accompanying childcare facilities in their efforts to improve the quality of childcare, including the implementation of a returnable documentation training program using photographs as a means of realizing childcare that is close to each child, and the release of a documentation system to focus on reading the interests of the child from the photographs. We have continued to accompany them in their efforts to improve the quality of childcare. However, in trying to be proactive in such efforts, we have also heard the concerns of those in the childcare field who are troubled by the gap between the photographic needs of the parents and the photographs used to understand the child from the childcare perspective.
We at LECME have decided to hold this seminar in order to discuss with people in the field of childcare how photography should be used in the field of childcare and what concerns they may have about photography.

2. about Lukumi and Unifa
About Lukumi
The duties of childcare workers are extremely diverse, ranging from managing children's arrival and departure from school, watching over them during naptime (nap time), preparing daycare diaries and plans, preparing documents to be submitted to parents and the local government, and managing shifts for childcare workers.
The "Lukumi" series automatically collects data on attendance, temperature, sleep, meals, bowel movements, etc., as well as photos taken with Lukumi Photo, and automatically posts the data to forms and contact sheets. In addition, with the Lukumi Noon Sleep Check, the sensor detects body movements and the application automatically records body orientation. Lukumi Noon Sleep Check has the largest market share in the industry*. This system will enable DX (digital transformation) of childcare-related operations, significantly reduce the workload of childcare workers, and create more time and energy for them. The time created will also allow childcare workers to spend more time with their children, which is important for them, and the provision of a photo documentation function will create an environment in which childcare workers can easily share their observations of children's growth with each other to ensure the quality of childcare and to support communication with parents. This will also support communication with parents. Through these efforts, the service contributes to the creation of job satisfaction for childcare providers and improvement of the quality of childcare services. To date, an estimated 16,000 children have used the service, and it has been introduced in about 70 municipalities (as of October 2023, according to our own research). (As of October 2023, according to our own research)
*: From "MIC IT Report Monthly," MIC Economic Research Institute, Deloitte Tohmatsu, October 2023, "Comparative Analysis of Introduction Results of Leading Vendors in the Noon Sleep Check Sensor Market," MIC ranked first in terms of cumulative number of sensors shipped, cumulative number of children using the sensors, and cumulative number of facilities introducing the sensors in FY2022.
