Children's English Language Institute launches new "Preschool Program" completed at "home" with the addition of online lessons.

- The following is content from the press release -

Ltd., which offers the "Pal Kids" series of online English language learning materials for home study for infants and elementary school children, will begin offering an upgraded version of its existing "Preschool Program" on April 1, 2023, which includes online lessons. The four-year program (usable from ages 1 to 7) will be sold in one-year units at a price of 55,000 yen (tax included) for each.

Comprehensive learning program to nurture "language, logic, and spirit

The "Preschool Classroom Program" is structured around a home study program offered as an assignment in preschool classrooms. The program is centered on the "Japanese" approach to enriching vocabulary and knowledge, and includes stories to enhance "comprehension" and "logic," as well as plenty of "math" elements to help students understand concrete bulks. The program also includes stories to foster "ethics," as well as essays and Chinese poetry, making it a comprehensive input material. The addition of online lessons will enable students to consolidate the content that has been inputted through the "kakegashi" method.

Online lessons are a program that stimulates children's "I want to do it! Online lessons are a program that stimulates the child's "I want to do it!

The online lessons of the "Preschool Classroom Program" are designed to motivate young children and children to take on the challenge of learning and to create three mechanisms that enable them to learn efficiently.

1. Easy mental representation and concentration habits

The use of pictures, songs, and rhythms in the activities helps young children to visualize (understand) and concentrate on their studies. In addition, the quiz-style questions are set at a level that allows students to achieve high scores if they concentrate on them, so they can acquire the habit of concentrating on their studies.

2. Intuitive understanding with the eyes.

Through the "flash card" approach, which is commonplace in early childhood education, and the "Dots" initiative, training to intuitively perceive visual information is introduced. This helps foster the ability to understand the essence of the moment and grasp the situation.

3. stimulate curiosity and "I want to do it because it's fun! to "I want to do it because it's fun!

For infants and children, what is necessary to lead them to independent learning is to stimulate their "curiosity. The online lessons of the "Preschool Classroom Program" include many songs that are not included in the content of the lessons or that the students have never heard before. By inputting knowledge through those characteristic songs before they know it, the program stimulates infants and children's "desire to know more" and leads to increased motivation.

Retention of input content through six initiatives

The online lessons in the "Preschool Program" offer six different initiatives per lesson. In addition, students can take 8 of these lessons per month (twice a week) for a total of 96 lessons per year.

Initiative 1: Dotz

The ability to intuitively sense bulk strengthens one's cognitive ability with regard to numbers.

Initiative 2: Various cards

Vocabulary building through quizzes to increase knowledge, including "Season's Cards."

Initiative 3: Haiku and proverbs

To develop understanding of the Japanese language through haiku and proverbs, which young children and children love to read.

Initiative 4: One Hundred and One

Through the Hyakunin Isshu, expand vocabulary and develop expressive and emotional skills.

Initiative 5: Sanzoku

By giving them bulk at the same time, rather than simply performing calculations, the students acquire the ability to relate to numbers through principle rather than technique.

Initiative 6: Songs

Using "songs," which infants and children love and can efficiently provide input, to acquire a variety of knowledge.

The cost is less than half that of a commuter preschool! Attractive cost-effectiveness

The average monthly cost of a commuting preschool program, including materials, is about 12,000 yen (according to our own research). In contrast, the "Preschool Program" allows students to complete "lessons" and "homework" at home for less than 5,000 yen/month. Furthermore, unlike a cram school, there is no time-consuming cost involved in picking up and dropping off children or managing schedules, making it easy and cost-effective for families with two working parents or those who are also involved in other learning activities.
