BTA2024 Award Winning Products Announced! Second round of judging underway!

Where is Santa now? Let's track him with "Google Chase Santa"! | IT enthusiast mom, with Ogamari's baby tech!

Hello! I am Ogamari.

In the blink of an eye, we have entered the season of Christmas. The streets are decorated for Christmas and Christmas songs are being played.

Well, this season, I'm sure there are many of you who get nervous when your children ask you, "Is Santa really real?" I'm sure there are a lot of people who get nervous when their children ask them "Is Santa really here? This time, we would like to introduce a website "Google Chasing Santa" that is too useful for such a situation!

Let's chase Santa for Christmas!

Google Chasing Santa" is a special Christmas-themed page launched by Google in 2004, with fun content that allows visitors to track Santa as he moves around during the holidays and play Christmas-themed quizzes and games.

If you search for "Christmas" on Google, a box of gifts will appear.

Clicking on this box (or tapping on it if you are using a smartphone) will bring up Santa Claus in a large balloon and the "Chasing Santa" website.

Scrolling the screen or clicking on the menu icons will bring up various contents such as quizzes and games.

When you click "Play" on the top page, contents will be displayed at random among them.

There are many interesting contents lined up!

Tracking Santa! Where is Santa now?

The centerpiece of the "Let's Chase Santa" program is the "Where is Santa? (Santa Tracker). Since Santa actually starts moving on Christmas Eve night every year, you can see how Santa is still relaxing at the moment.

If your child asks you, "Does Santa really exist?" you might want to open this page together...!

Easy programming experience! Code Boogie" & "Code Lab

I recommend "Code Boogie" and "Code Lab". Both allow you to casually experience programming while playing!

code-buggy

This is a game in which you combine blocks to make a character dressed as Santa dance. The player must combine the blocks to reproduce the same movements as the character who is showing the model. If the character can dance the same way as the teacher, it is a great success!

code lab

This is another game in which the characters are moved by combining blocks. The player moves the character by combining blocks so that Santa Claus can reach the place where he has placed the box of presents. The difficulty level gradually increases, and the concept of "repetition" in programming is introduced.

Both of them work in the same way as Scratch, a programming tool for children, allowing them to experience programming in a natural way. They are also highly game-like, so both adults and children will find themselves getting absorbed in them!

Santa Claus is scheduled to start moving on Christmas Eve. Until then, enjoy the various contents and watch for Santa's safe departure!

Child of the Week.

I selected a Strider as a Christmas present for my child. I was torn between pink and the 2023 limited edition "Ice Blue" color!
