Background of Service Launch
In 2040, the medical and welfare industry will have a shortage of 960,000 workers.
In addition, organizations and corporations that operate welfare businesses (childcare, nursing care, disability, etc.) have fewer "learning opportunities" such as qualifications and vocational schools, and "learning means" such as learning content, despite the fact that they have many more unique internal management operations than general business corporations. In addition, there are not many opportunities for online off-the-job training in this industry, where the penetration of digitalization is still lagging behind that of other industries.
In this context, Fucnone launched this service in June 2023 based on the idea that by providing opportunities to easily learn welfare management through e-learning, it will not only support the development of core human resources by giving front-line staff a management perspective, but also provide an opportunity for newcomers to the welfare industry, such as those from other industries to change jobs.
In response to requests from customers adopting this service as part of their corporate training and welfare programs, we have recently added a drill function consisting of a total of 240 questions. This enables the consolidation of learning knowledge and the visualization of the learning process.
Service Features
Broad Curriculum
It contains more than 200 lectures that can be learned from zero knowledge of "finance and accounting," "labor management," "personnel management," "taxation," "opening a business by department," and other topics in the welfare business, with additions being made as needed. In addition, a "Management Course" has been established to help students take the step toward full-fledged entrepreneurship, and an accompanying support system is in place.
Ease of learning
In addition, the original character "Fukunoneko" explains key points, allowing students to study without prior knowledge of the subject matter. The service is available at a campaign price of 3,058 yen per month, and a free trial period is available.
Upcoming events
In the future, we are considering the introduction of a "certification system" based on completion of lectures and drills that will be recorded in WWMC. This certification will certify that the student has comprehensively acquired basic management knowledge related to childcare, nursing care, and welfare for the disabled. The certification will support the creation of an environment in which participants can learn continuously and independently by setting unprecedented goals for welfare management and certifying the "process" of learning and reviewing, rather than the "result" of passing or failing an examination.
Representative Comment
Ryo Wakutsu, Representative Partner, Fukunone LLC
I was first brought to consider this service by my own father, who has been in the welfare business for more than 30 years and is now approaching his 60th birthday and considering the development of the next generation of management personnel. He said, "Even if there are people in the field who are willing to run a business, many of their challenges do not go well because of sloppy internal management systems. It would be a shame if the knowledge and desire to create a wonderful welfare center were to be cut off because of this, and the opportunities for them to learn about management are suddenly turned into opportunities to practice.
In the course of my subsequent research, I learned about the industry-wide awareness of problems in the management of organizations and corporations operating welfare businesses, the ongoing trend of corporate mergers, and the current serious human resource shortage. As a banker myself, I was concerned that my own clients were facing the same issues regarding succession to the next generation, and I wondered if I could use my experience to contribute to the development and production of management talent in the welfare industry and to solutions to business succession issues.
Based on a survey of active welfare managers and staff, WAK WELLNESS Management College has compiled lectures focusing on knowledge that "managers think they need to learn now" and "practitioners do not understand well". We hope that this college will encourage those interested in welfare management to take on new challenges.
