This service will provide in-home assistance and Through the experience of "earning, saving, and spending" (*1), parents and children will learn the basic roles of money and how to use it. It provides an opportunity to learn and to think about how money can help you in your life.
On March 1, 2023 (Wednesday), DOCOMO launched "comotto(R)," a brand based on the concept of "More for the Future of Children. DOCOMO launched the "comotto(R)" brand on March 1, 2023 (Wednesday), based on the concept of "More for Your Child's Future. comotto" provides children and their families with learning and fun in a variety of genres, including "financial education," "nature," and "intellectual education.
This service is part of the "financial education" component of "comotto," focusing on the issue of parents who want their children to learn about the finite nature of money and how to use it better, but do not know how to teach them.
This service is available by installing a dedicated application. The application has an intuitive design with large illustration icons and numbers to make it easy for children to use by themselves. In addition, the characters and illustrations move animatedly in response to operations, creating a lively atmosphere. The product was developed with the aim of making money more familiar to parents and children while allowing them to enjoy touching and using it every day. The service is targeted mainly at children between the ages of 6 and 10 and their parents or guardians, but anyone can use the service by installing the dedicated application and logging in with a "d Account(R)". There is no charge for this service.
This service provides three main functions and learnings
Let me (function to do)
Parents and children can set "things to do," such as helping out or making rules in the home, and set the amount of money according to the things they do. The parent and child can freely register the contents of the "Tasks," and the child can think about what he/she can do and work on it by him/herself. When a "task" is completed, the child reports it to the guardian in the application, and the guardian "confirms" the report, thereby increasing the amount of money set in the application. This app provides an opportunity for children to think about the meaning of receiving money (*2) while creating an incentive for them to willingly help out.
Hoarding (Wishful Thinking function)
The child can set what he/she wants and easily check how much money he/she has accumulated against that amount with a gauge. This helps children understand that everything has a price, and helps them develop the ability to save money systematically toward their goals.
Use (wallet function)
You can check the money accumulated in your child's own Osaifu in the app at any time. The child consults with his/her family about the amount of money he/she wants to spend, and systematically withdraws money from the app's piggy bank and records the amount. By having their own piggy bank account, children will acquire the ability to think and spend money in their own way.
For details, please see the attached sheet.
DOCOMO will continue to expand the financial education content of "comotto" so that each child can learn about society by learning how money works, and also acquire the ability to devise and create their own life.
1 This service allows users to experience money management by recording numbers on the app, and actual money exchange is conducted through the app.
It does not occur.
2 We have planned and developed this service with the belief that money is not something that comes out of your pocket, but something that you receive as a token of "thank you" from someone else.
