My daughter turned 9 months old the other day. She is in the midst of putting everything in her mouth, but what has been troubling me lately is that she has been chewing on picture books.... Since they are made of paper, they get all squishy and she swallows the shredded paper in the corners. It's so bad that I think, "Did I just give birth to a goat? I think to myself, "Did I just give birth to a goat? But I still want to read to her...!
I found a picture book app called " PIBO " on the AppStore that solved that problem for me!
WHAT IS PIBO?
PIBO is a smartphone application that allows you to read picture books for free. You can read over 360 original picture book titles by popular authors, foreign fairy tales, Japanese folktales, and more for free!
It's hard to buy a lot of picture books, and we don't have time to go to the library to borrow them (at my daughter's age, she puts them in her mouth, so we can't borrow them in the first place...), so being able to choose and read as many picture books as we want for free from the comfort of our home is very nice! I don't have to worry about them being eaten (lol).
You can read a picture book up to 3 times a day for free, and once you become a paid member, that limit is removed and you can read as many as you want completely free of charge. And they're available for ages 0-12!
Unfortunately, there is currently only an iOS version.

Select a picture book you want to read from the list and tap the cover.
Tap "Read" to open the picture book. All you have to do is tap to turn the pages!

I used it right away and was thrilled to see my daughter give me a big smile the moment I turned the page!
I'd like to share with you some of the things I've enjoyed about using it!
You can search for picture books by age!
Tap "All" in the upper right corner of the list, and a tab for narrowing down the age range will appear. You can view only those films that are appropriate for your child's age, making it easier to select films.
Includes audio read-aloud!
Oh my gosh, all of the books have read-aloud audio! (It is not listed on the website. (This is a feature that should be more appealing...!)
(This is a feature that should be more appealing...!) Whenever you turn a page (tap a page), a voice reading aloud is automatically played. If you prefer to read the story to the child yourself, you can mute the reading-aloud sound.
This is a feature that I personally appreciate, as it allows me to hone my own reading skills by referring to professional read-alouds.
I get to read three free books every day!
It seems that you can read as much as you want with a paid membership, but you can read up to 3 times a day for free every day. When my daughter gets a little older, "Read more!" call will start? but I wonder if I can tell her, "You can read up to 3 times - sorry!" I wonder if I can tell her "Sorry! I imagine that she will be able to say, "I'm sorry, I can't read it more than three times!
I am sure that I will not be charged without my knowledge since I need to unlock the child lock in order to access the settings screen!
I'll be using it from now on!

I can read it more than 4 times, so why not? And I was wondering, it seems there's a free trial of the paid plan for the first week after you download it!

Following the lower teeth, the upper teeth have grown in and you can now hear the "clicking" sound of biting. It is time to increase the amount of baby food to three times. I am renewing the difficulties of raising a child day by day...!
