BTA2023 AWARD-WINNING PRODUCTS ANNOUNCED!

Nursery rhymes and lullabies all in one device! Alexa" and "Amazon Music" are fully utilized for childcare! |With IT enthusiast mom Ogamari's baby tech!

Hello! My name is Ogamari.
I am a 37-year-old freelancer who had my first baby this May.
In this article, I'll be showing you how to use Alexa to get the most out of Amazon Music, which I mentioned in my last article!

What is Amazon Music?

Amazon Music is a music streaming service provided by, you guessed it, "Amazon".
You can play, stop, and skip songs without any help by using the Alexa-powered Echo smart speaker.
By the way, Alexa also lets you use other streaming services!

Amazon Prime Music" available to Prime members

Amazon Music offers three main plans.

  • Amazon Music Free
  • Amazon Music Prime
  • Amazon Music Unlimited

Each has different prices, ads, and the number of songs you can listen to, but I use Amazon Music Prime, which is available to Amazon Prime members.

What is Amazon Prime?

With an annual plan of 4,900 yen (tax included) or monthly plan of 500 yen (tax included), you can shop for free shipping and use a variety of services, making it a great choice for families raising children!

Here's my heavy favorite song!

Here's what I'm playing and which songs I'm playing in every situation with my 4 month old daughter! (Using Prime plan)

in a good mood

Alexa, play a children's song! " and it will play a playlist called "Children's songs to sing with your children" selected by Amazon Music. The list of 20 songs ranges from classics like "Elephant" to animated songs like "Yume Kanae Doraemon. I listen to this so much every day that I have learned what will be played next and can do introspection (laughs). I especially love the song "Jenka the Polar Bear" because it's so cute!

dozing

When you say, " Alexa, play a lullaby!" and the "Lullaby Station" will play.

What is a "station"?

This function automatically selects recommended songs from 2 million songs according to the trend of music you usually listen to, and keeps playing them one after another.

Alexa has a feature that allows me to whisper to it and it will whisper back, so I always whisper to it when I play a lullaby. A series of gentle music box tunes, like those played at an obstetrician's office, always come on, and I am always the one who falls asleep (laughs).

When you are crying

In the newborn period, I was clutching at straws, " Alexa! Play a sound to make the baby stop crying! " And there it was! There was a song (noise) that sounded exactly like it, "the sound that makes babies stop crying"!
There are smartphone apps that provide noises to make the baby stop crying, but it is quite difficult to hold the phone and open the app when you are nursing the baby. Alexa, on the other hand, can play sounds with just your voice, making it very convenient!
It was funny how she stopped crying when she was a newborn, but recently her crying has become so loud that it drowns out the sound, so I don't get to use it very often... (laughs).

When feeding milk

This is completely my hobby, but I call out, " Alexa! 90's J-Pop! " and it's karaoke time on my own (laughs). The other day I asked "Alexa , play a recent hit song" and she played the latest song, but every time a song came on, I had to ask " Alexa, tell me the title of this song..." I felt a little old (laughs).

You sing!

The other day, I asked for a playlist of nursery rhymes, and for some reason Alexa started singing "Momiji". Apparently, I had mistakenly asked for " sing nursery rhymes" instead of "play nursery rhymes"! (By the way, they seem to have a lot of songs in their repertoire!) (By the way, she seems to have a lot of repertoire!
(By the way, she has a lot of repertoire!) Alexa has many other original songs, so please make a request like "Alexa, rap! (By the way, she seems to have a lot of repertoire!). There is also a playlist of Alexa's original songs (lol).

Beware of plan changes in voice

One final note: If you request a song that is not available on the Free/Prime plan, you will be asked if you would like to upgrade to the Unlimited free trial?" If you answer "Yes," the free trial will start and you will be billed after the period. If you answer "yes," the free trial will begin, and you will be charged after the trial period. There have been cases where children have signed up, so be careful to avoid unintended subscriptions!
You can check your subscription plan on the Amazon website or on the Alexa app, so it might be a good idea to check it from time to time!

Child of the Week.

She's now drinking 200 ml of milk! He is about to hit the growth curve...
