(HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Shingo Arai; hereinafter "mediba") and ORSO Corporation (HQ: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshichika Sakamoto; hereinafter "ORSO") have jointly planned and developed the "Maneboo" app for children to learn about money, (headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Tetsuo Murayama, President; hereinafter "TPJ"), a company involved in the cashew nut processing business in Cambodia, began opening a store within the app on August 30, 2022.

Maneboo" is a money learning app that allows children to learn about the money system through work experience and shopping using the in-app currency "Maneboo" in the app's stores, just like playing a game. TPJ operates a cashew nut processing factory in Cambodia, Southeast Asia, which produces not only cashew nuts as food, but also cashew nuts as part of its renewable energy business. TPJ operates a cashew nut processing plant in Cambodia, Southeast Asia, and is engaged in research and development of biomass fuels using cashew nut shell extracted oil and cashew nut husk residue as one of renewable energy projects. Since these cashew nut residues can be used not only as an alternative fuel to palm oil for biomass power generation, but also as a decarbonized material for industrial products, we are contributing to the SDGs through our cashew nut processing business, and with the support of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), we are conducting a cashew nut in Cambodia The company is promoting a number of projects, including business surveys and the establishment of processing technologies to develop the Cambodian cashew nut

TPJ has endorsed the efforts of "Maneboo," a money learning app that promotes financial education and ESD*1 for children, and will open a new "TPJ" store within the app. At the in-app store, visitors can enjoy three types of games: "Shukaku" (harvesting cashews in the field), "Shiwake" (sorting nuts and shells at the processing factory), and "Package" (packing cashews into packages).

Comments from Takayuki Imahashi, General Manager, Corporate Planning Office, TOP PLANNING JAPAN Co.

Cashew nuts, which we usually eat without much thought, have their own respected jobs for the producers who grow them and for the workers who process them. While there are few opportunities in Japan to learn about cashew nuts produced in Southeast Asia, we hope that Maneboo will provide an opportunity for children to learn about overseas food production and biomass fuels, even if only a little. We will continue to promote our business that is safe, delicious, and contributes to the environment.

Comments by Koichi Motomura, Chief, Corporate Partnerships Division 2, Private Partnerships Department, Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA)

Did you know that cashew nuts are actually the seed part of the fruit that grows on trees? Through the work experience of "shukaku", "shiwaku", "shiwake", and "package" at Top Planning Japan's Maneboo store, which JICA also supported in Cambodia, children learned how to process cashew nuts and how to pack them into bags and other items, We would be happy if children could learn that white cashew nuts originally come from seeds attached to yellow nuts, and how they are processed and packaged to be ready for us to eat.

As a service that creates opportunities for children to learn about money and society in a fun way and serves as a catalyst for communication between parents and children, "Maneboo" will continue to make further updates and expand the number of companies opening stores.

About "Manebu

Maneboo" is a completely free money learning application that parents and children can enjoy together.
This service allows children to learn about money, work, and products through "oshigoto" (work that can be enjoyed like a game) and "okaimono" (shopping) using "manebu," the in-app currency earned from oshigoto. We hope that parents and children will enjoy playing the games while conversing with each other.
