What is BabyTech® Award Japan 2020 powered by DNP Dai Nippon Printing?
Awards to Recognize BabyTech Products
The term " baby tech " refers to products and services that use IoT and ICT technology to make childcare safer, more secure, and more efficient, and has been expanding in Europe and the United States in recent years. Here in Japan, too, it has begun to be introduced in childcare facilities based on the evaluation of its usefulness in managing children and employees, as well as their health, and it is a field in which interest will continue to grow.
Last year, Papa Smile Inc., operator of Japan's only baby tech media "BabyTech.jp", held "BabyTech Award Japan 2019", the first event in Japan to award domestic baby tech products and services. Awards for Excellence were selected in six categories. The event received a great response. This year's event will be held again as the "BabyTech® Award Japan 2020", with the aim of raising awareness of this field, expanding the market, and increasing the number of new players entering the market.
On September 17, 2020, Dai Nippon Printing Co., Ltd. was chosen as the title sponsor and the event was named "BabyTech® Award Japan 2020 powered by DNP Dai Nippon Printing".

We are holding this event to raise awareness of BabyTech among organizations and companies that develop and provide ICT services and products for childcare, as well as parents, caregivers, childcare providers, and all other people involved in childcare. By spreading the use of BabyTech, we hope to further ensure safety and security through the use of people and systems, reduce the mental and physical burden on those who watch over children, and create an environment where more care can be given to those who need it, so that children can grow up in a better environment.
Targeted products and services include products for newborns, infants, and toddlers (preschoolers ) and their parents, as well as pre-pregnant, pregnant, and post-pregnant women, their partners, and their families.
The 2020 award-winning products will be displayed from late June until February 2021. The number of routes listed has been increased from one last year to three.
