Easy to check the schedule of baby's celebration events on LINE! We created a LINEbot called "Celebration DAYS"! |With IT enthusiast mom Ogamari's baby tech!

Hello! I am Ogamari.
The new year is almost two weeks old now, and I would like to wish you a Happy New Year!
I hope you enjoy BabyTech this year and I look forward to sharing information with you in a relaxed manner!

Now, in the spirit of a happy New Year, I would like to introduce my previous LINE bot, "Celebration DAYS"!

What is "Celebration DAYS?"

Celebration DAYS" is a bot that allows you to easily check the dates of celebrations such as the first ceremonial visit to the shrine and the first weaning ceremony. The "Celebration DAYS" bot allows you to easily check the dates of celebrations such as the first meal of the new year and the first visit to the shrine, etc., on LINE.

this way (direction close to the speaker or towards the speaker)You can add us as a friend from

There is no fee to use this service, so if you are interested, please register your interest!

When you become a friend, the first step is to register your child's information (nickname, date of birth, and gender).
The rest of the system is simple: send a message with "name list" and the date of the celebration will be returned in a list....

Why did you decide to make it?

It wasn't until after the birth that I realized, "Babies have such a great time for celebration!" I learned that babies have so many different times to celebrate. Starting with the seventh night of the seventh month, followed by the visit to the shrine, the weaning ceremony, and in the blink of an eye, the half-birthday...
There are websites where you can calculate it by putting in your birthday and gender, but it's a hassle to search for it every time, and I wish there was a way to quickly check it without having to open my planner or phone calendar... I thought, "I might be able to make it! I thought, "I might be able to make one!

How did you make it?

We programmed using a scripting language called GAS (Google Apps Script)!
If you have used Excel for macro/VBA, it would be easier to understand if you think of it as the Google version of that.

The information sent by moms and dads to Celebrate DAYS on LINE is received by LINE's "Messaging API" function. The information is then passed to GAS, which registers it in a Google Spreadsheet or retrieves the information from the spreadsheet. The results are then returned to Mom and Dad again via the "Messaging API", and so on!

We wanted to add a feature that would remind us when the celebration date is approaching, but we have put the implementation on hold because the messages that reply to requests triggered by moms and dads are free, whereas there is a fee to send a message with a LINE account start. I hope to implement it someday..!

It could be applied in many ways!

This time, we tried to link GAS and LINE on the theme of "celebration dates," but we felt that it could be applied in various ways, such as shopping lists and schedule management, when there are things we want to keep track of easily!
A little programming knowledge is required, but you can find many helpful articles by looking up "LINE GAS Linkage" and so on.
Want to try something new in the New Year? If so, you may want to try your hand at programming!

Child of the Week.

He loves hoodie strings and zipper sliders and chews on them whenever he gets a chance. He gets angry when I try to remove them from his mouth because he thinks they are dangerous! He gets angry when I try to remove them from his mouth. I wonder if his ego is budding...!
