Zacti will provide equipment such as cameras to be installed to monitor the bus and perform installation work at Zacti's expense to verify the effectiveness of the system. ZACTI will continue to contribute to the creation of a childcare environment that guarantees the safety and security of children through repeated verifications at various childcare sites, including the Certified Children's Garden Tsubame.
A demonstration video will be shown at the upcoming "Childcare Expo 2022" to be held at the Tokyo International Forum from November 21 (Mon.) to 22 (Tue.) at the Zakti booth (Hall E, A109, exhibited jointly with JCI Co. Features of Zacti's "Bus Watching Camera Solution for Shuttle Buses
Zacti's proposed watchful eye camera solution features a video solution with a triple-check function.
(i)Ultra wide-angle camera detects the entire bus
The system uses an ultra-wide-angle 360° panoramic camera to capture a wide range of images of the entire bus interior and detect people with the minimum number of cameras installed. High-quality images from a proprietary image processing engine are used to constantly monitor the inside of the bus. The system can be easily installed on existing buses for pick-up and drop-off.
(2)AI image analysis to count the number of passengers
The number of passengers on and off the bus is counted by AI image analysis of images taken near bus entrances and exits. The number of passengers is displayed on a monitor installed in the driver's seat in an easy-to-understand manner, and an alarm warns the driver until the number of passengers reaches zero (even after the bus engine is stopped).
(iii)Remote real-time confirmation of video inside the bus
Real-time distribution of video images inside the bus during pick-up and drop-off, and of the results of person detection after the engine is stopped. The status inside the bus can be checked from the staff member's smartphone or office PC, enabling remote monitoring of the bus interior.
The above features and system configuration are the proposed specifications at the time of this announcement and are subject to change as a result of future trials and in accordance with the guidelines for safety device specifications to be established by the government within this year.
