- The following is content from the press release -
(Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshinori Koike), a provider of CoDMON, an ICT system that supports the daily lives of teachers working in childcare facilities such as nursery schools, kindergartens, school children, schools, and elementary schools, announces that it will link its system with EMC Healthcare Corporation (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Hitoto Date), a provider of the new camera-type nap monitoring system "Babymoni" as a linked service for the nap sensor. (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yoshinori Koike), a provider of "Babymoni", a camera-based system for monitoring sleep, as a service linked with the sound sleep sensor, from the end of May 2021. The results of the nap checks automatically obtained by Babymoni will be managed by Codomon, further reducing the administrative workload of childcare workers. This new linkage with the camera-type Babymoni will allow facilities using Codomon to choose the most appropriate type of nap sensor according to the purpose and environment from among the mat-type "hugsafety (hugmo Co., Ltd.)," the wearable-type "cocolin (Kimuratan Co., Ltd.)," and the camera-type "Babymoni. (Kimuratan Co., Ltd.), and the camera type "Babymoni".
During nap time, when children are napping, serious accidents such as choking due to sleeping on their stomachs can easily occur. In order to reduce the mental and operational burden on childcare workers who are working with a sense of urgency, Codomon works with Babymoni, which analyzes images from a camera installed in the ceiling to determine the child's body posture. Babymoni is a non-contact system that eliminates the need for daily device management, preparation and cleanup, and can flexibly respond to changes in the number of children. By increasing the number of options for checking the number of nap time at Codomon, daily operations can be optimized according to each facility's operating conditions, allowing more time to be allocated to improving the quality of childcare.
Comments from preschools that have actually used automatic collaboration between Codomon & Babymoni
- It is very easy to use because Babymoni's nap data is automatically recorded in Codomon, which reduces workload.
- It is very helpful to be able to go paperless because it eliminates the need to keep the data on a recording form as a noontime check. In addition, there is the peace of mind that the data is managed in the cloud on the Codomon side.

Outline of "Babymoni
Babymoni" is a nap check system that uses cameras and analytical A.I. to detect dangerous postures such as infants sleeping face down. By installing a ceiling camera in the nursery room, a single unit can detect the posture of multiple infants at the same time, and alerts the nursery staff of the danger by issuing an alert when infants are in a prone position. The system also automatically keeps a record of the nap check, which is required every five minutes, thus reducing the workload and mental burden on the nursery staff. The system was also selected for the "BabyTech® Award Japan 2020 powered by DNP Dai Nippon Printing" in the safety measures and monitoring category, and was highly evaluated for its combination of sensing and AI analysis to ensure the safety of preschoolers while reducing the workload on site, as well as the non-contact advantages of the Corona disaster.
