(hereinafter referred to as "Panasonic"), in cooperation with Fami-One Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "Fami-One"), conducted a demonstration project to support the health behavior of working women and its effects on organizational performance through the use of the RizMo physical condition navigation service, health care consultation services by experts, and workplace workshops. The project was conducted with the cooperation of Family One (see below). This demonstration project was implemented with the fiscal 2025 "Subsidy for FemTech Support Service Demonstration Project" promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).

It is estimated that the annual economic loss to society as a whole due to women's health issues is approximately 3.4 trillion yen (*1). In recent years, providing support in the workplace and creating a more comfortable working environment for women have become important management issues for companies. Aiming to solve women's specific health issues, Panasonic is developing and providing reliable femtec services based on scientific evidence, leveraging its more than 100-year history of manufacturing products and its track record of working closely with women in the areas of beauty and health.

Many working women suffer from menstruation-related symptoms and sleep deprivation that affect their physical and mental health. It has also been pointed out that higher health literacy among women may be related to higher work performance (*2). In this demonstration project, 117 women working at Panasonic were provided with the "RizMo" system to measure the temperature inside their clothes and sleep condition linked to their menstrual rhythm, to visualize their physical condition, and to provide them with knowledge. The program also provided opportunities for online health consultations with experts conducted by Fami-One, and verified how the health issues of female employees improved and how their health literacy changed. In addition, a workplace-based group workshop was held for 95 Panasonic employees (59 women/36 men) to examine the impact of the program on improving the health literacy of not only female employees but also those around them and their engagement in the workplace.

Through this demonstration project, it was suggested that visualization of physical condition through daily measurements and provision of information suited to each individual employee enabled female employees to objectively assess their own physical condition, leading to improved health awareness and behavioral change. In addition, the workshops with invited experts have also contributed to the improvement of engagement among employees, as men and women learned about women's specific health issues together in the workplace and experienced practical role-playing.

Panasonic will use the knowledge gained from this verification experiment to further develop and promote FemTech services that support the realization of "human capital management that brings out the best in each and every employee" and the resolution of health issues specific to women.
