LOGIQ LABO®, a learning application developed and provided by Sony Global Education Inc. (President and CEO: Naoki Kato), will renew its service in March 2026 with the addition of questions for older children through first grade elementary school students.
The renewed version covers a wide range of skills to be acquired during the period from the oldest child to the first grade of elementary school in the basic areas of Japanese, arithmetic, and daily life, and supports the formation of a foundation for learning in elementary school. In addition, the new version provides a learning environment where children who are not yet proficient in reading and writing can work independently by using the voice reading function.

Renewal Overview
While the formation of study habits and the establishment of basic understanding are important for older children and first grade elementary school students, there are individual differences in proficiency in reading and writing, which can easily lead to differences in the way students approach learning and the degree of difficulty they experience in continuing their studies. In order to meet the needs of these older children and first grade elementary school students, we are expanding the contents of LogicLab and renewing its structure so that it can handle the skills necessary for early learning across the board.
Features of the new contents
(1) Covers basic skills to be acquired from senior to first grade
- Words: hiragana and katakana, comprehension of words, identification and classification of objects, etc.
- Numbers: counting, number comparison, number decomposition, basic arithmetic, etc.
- Life: Basics related to understanding the world around us and common sense of life, such as money, time, etc.
It is also equipped with a voice-reading function, making it possible for children who are not yet fully literate to work with it.

(2) Fostering the "ability to think" required in the age of AI
Not only do they develop information reading comprehension skills to read information from text, and spatial awareness and exploration skills that are difficult to learn at school or from paper-based materials, but they also nurture the ability to think independently through programming and inquiry-based learning.
(3) Support for establishing study habits
In addition to the ability to freely set the study time and schedule, the system supports children to continue learning without difficulty with hints and explanations to help children understand, and a point function to motivate children to learn.
