Laurus International School of Science ("Laurus") is the only science international school in Japan that implements a curriculum centered on STEAM education.
Laurus will hold its popular annual spring break event "STEAM Spring Camp 2026" for preschool children aged 1.5 to 6 years old from Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27, 2026. The event will be held at preschools and kindergarten schools in the Tokyo and Kawasaki areas (Shinagawa, Shirokanedai, Aoyama, Jiyugaoka, Tsukishima, Bunkyo, and Musashi Kosugi), allowing families to choose the participating school that best suits their accessibility.

Theme for STEAM Spring Camp 2026

The theme for 2026 is "Little Dreamers: What Do I Want to Be? "
From Monday through Friday, children will experience a variety of STEAM activities in English with a different vocational theme each day. As children are exposed to the world of professions, they discover what they "like" and what they are "good at" and expand their imagination for the future.

Monday, March 23: Scientist

While observing familiar phenomena, ask yourself "Why? Why? and "Why? Through the process of investigating and confirming for oneself, one can experience that science begins with curiosity.
Tuesday, March 24: Engineers/Programmers

Students are exposed to the fundamentals of technology and system development while taking on the challenge of solving problems. We value the process of logical thinking and trial and error.
Wednesday, 3/25: Doctor/Veterinarian

Students learn about compassion and responsibility in the area of human and animal health. Students will develop the ability to observe and notice small changes and develop a caring heart.
Thursday, March 26: Community Helpers

Students will look at the various jobs that support the community and understand the importance of working together. This day fosters social skills and teamwork.
Friday, 3/27: Artist/Designer

Through art and design, we give shape to free ideas. We nurture your ability to express your feelings and ideas creatively.
Special Content and Participant Reward Presents
STEAM Spring Camp 2026 will feature special content and special gifts for participants to enhance their learning experience.
Special Contents
Under the guidance of the school's STEM instructors, students will try their hand at stop-motion animation production using 2D characters and 2D backgrounds created on paper.
Students also create characters and backgrounds for their professions, moving them frame by frame as they shoot to complete their original work.
As a STEAM educational experience program that combines art and technology, it fosters creativity, composition, and expression.
This activity will be conducted once at each school from Monday, March 23 to Friday, March 27, 2026.
Special gifts for participants
There will be two types of participant special gifts: one for children who attend all five days and one for those who attend one day at a time.
- Benefits for children who participate in all 5 days
Depending on the age of the student, one toy related to his/her occupation will be given to the student.
- 1.5 to 3 years old]: trumpet
- 3 to 4 years old]: Rocket set
- 4 to 6 years old]: Stethoscope

- For children who participated in the program on a daily basis
If you participate for even one day, you will receive an original picture book based on the theme of the day you attended. These books can be used at home as learning materials to continue the Spring Camp experience. The books are designed to naturally introduce new vocabulary based on the theme and everyday English expressions, and can be enjoyed while reflecting on the Spring Camp experience.
