Results of "Child Watching GPS Service" User Satisfaction Survey 2026 Announced

(headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Akikane Shiraishi, President) conducted a survey on child watchdog GPS services. This survey was conducted from January 22 to January 27, 2026, targeting 19,590 men and women in their 30s and 40s nationwide with children aged 4 to 6th grade.

Survey Background and Objectives

With the increase in the number of women in the workforce and dual-earner households(*1) , more and more parents are absent from their homes during the daytime. At the same time, the declining birthrate and aging population have led to a downward trend in community watchdog activities and crime prevention measures(*2), further increasing the importance of child safety measures.

In recent years, there have also been reports of accidents involving children being left unattended on preschool buses or being accosted by suspicious persons, and there is a growing concern among families, communities, and schools about how to support children's safety when they go out, including to preschool, school, cram schools, and other places of learning.

In response to these changes in the social environment, there is a growing need to create an environment in which children can move and act safely, and demand is rapidly increasing for "child watchdog GPS services" that can monitor children's location information in real time. In addition to location information, services with communication functions such as sending and receiving voice messages are becoming increasingly popular, and awareness and interest in these services among parents and guardians are growing.

In order to gain a better understanding of the actual market situation, we have conducted a survey, as we did last year, on the awareness of child watchdog GPS services and services with a voice transmission function, as well as on the most popular services and services with high user satisfaction among the numerous child watchdog GPS services available. Through this survey, we aim to gain a deeper understanding of current market trends and user needs, and use this information to improve our services and consider new measures in the future.

As in the previous survey (*3), 19,590 men and women in their 30s and 40s with children between the ages of 4 and 6th grade were asked about their awareness and use of the Child Watching GPS service (*4).

The screening survey for "ota.g," "BoT Talk," "Harokoko," "Mimane Mimamori GPS," and "Mimamori GPS" was conducted to confirm awareness of each company's service as a whole, so they are collectively referred to as "ota.g/otta.a/otta.s/otta.w," "GPS BoT/BoT Talk," "Harokoko/Harokoko Talk," "Mimane Mimamori GPS/Mimane Mimamori GPS," and "Mimamori GPS (formerly Dokokokana GPS). Results of the "Child Watching GPS Service" Survey

1. Awareness of "Child watchdog GPS service" and "Child watchdog GPS service with voice transmission function" itself

Looking at the recognition rate of the Child Watching GPS service itself, 67.91 TP6T respondents were aware of the service, up 3.7 points from 64.21 TP6T in the previous survey.

Looking at the recognition rate of the child watchdog GPS service with voice sending function itself, 28.21 TP6T respondents were aware of the service, up 5.3 points from 22.91 TP6T in the previous survey.

2. recognition rate of each service of "Child Watching GPS

The recognition rate for each service was relatively high, with the top three services in the 20% range, with the fourth and fifth services also having recognition rates of around 10%. The first place was Mimamori GPS/Mimamori GPS Talk (24.6%), second was GPS BoT/BoT Talk (24.3%), third was Mimori/Mimori Talk GPS (22.0%), fourth was Momo Search (11.0%), and fifth was MimaMorme GPS (9.91 TP6T), with the top three services achieving relatively high recognition in the 201 TP6T range, and the fourth and fifth services also having recognition rates of around 101 TP6T.

3. Usage rate of each service of "Child Watching GPS

For the fifth consecutive year, "GPS BoT/BoT Talk" (7.0%) and "Mimane Mimamori GPS/Mimane Mimori GPS Talk" (5.5%) ranked first and second, respectively, in the usage rate of each service.

4. Overall satisfaction with each of the "Child Watching GPS" services (*6)

The overall satisfaction of each service was asked on a seven-point scale (very satisfied, satisfied, somewhat satisfied, undecided, somewhat dissatisfied, dissatisfied, and very dissatisfied), and the average score was calculated, showing that "GPS BoT/BoT Talk" (5.48 points) ranked first, indicating a high level of satisfaction compared to other services.

The results of the survey on child watchdog GPS services show that awareness of the service itself has expanded further since the previous year, indicating that the service is widely positioned as a safety measure for children when they are out and about.
In addition, awareness of services with a voice transmission function has also increased since the previous year's survey, suggesting that GPS services for watching over children are not just a means to keep track of their location, but are beginning to be valued as a means of communication with children even from remote locations.
In the future, the market is expected to grow further with the expansion of usage scenarios for child watchdog GPS services, centered on services with voice transmission functions that combine the functions of watching over children and communication.
