〜Free online participation from April 2026
- The following is content from the press release -

Background and Issues
There are many tasks in the field of childcare that continue to be performed with the feeling that "this takes time every time" or "I wonder if it could be improved.
Filling out contact sheets, making handouts for parents, preparing for events, organizing handover materials...
All of these tasks are indispensable, but the reality is that the field is busy every day and it is difficult to ensure that there is enough time to work on operational improvements.
On the other hand, recent advances in AI technology have gradually made it more realistic to streamline writing and routine tasks, and to organize and standardize tasks that used to belong to a specific genus.
Initiatives: Launch of Miraiku AI Lab
In response, Shinshu Kosodate Mirai-net (located in Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture; CEO: Hiroki Yamagishi), a general incorporated association that operates nine small-scale childcare facilities in Nagano Prefecture, will launch an experimental initiative called "Miraiku AI Lab" (tentative name) to bring together childcare workers to think together about how to improve efficiency while maintaining the quality of work by using AI. The "Miraiku AI Lab" (tentative name: Miraiku AI Lab) will be launched to experiment with the use of AI.
Miraiku AI Lab is not a training program to learn how to operate AI.
This is a “hands-on lab” that reviews the process of writing and organizing work with AI, using actual work in the childcare field as the subject matter, and incorporates it into a form that can be used in the field.
First, on February 20, 2026, a trial was conducted as a prototype for seven deputy chiefs of their own corporation.
Based on the findings, from April 2026, it will be developed into an online format lab open to nursery school professionals nationwide.
Nationwide call for "operations you want to streamline"!
Currently, Miraiku AI Lab is seeking "operations that need to be streamlined" and "tasks that are troubling" from childcare sites nationwide.
Examples of Recruitment Details
- Time-consuming paperwork every time
- Operations that are difficult to take over.
- Work that belongs to the genus
Work that you feel, "Couldn't this be made easier?"
The feedback received will be used as a theme for discussion within the lab and will be shared as examples of actual improvements.

AI is not meant to replace the field.
Childcare workers have had it alone.
Thinking, arranging, and verbalizing sentences."
It is a tool to lighten the burden of
Contact book, letters, records, and handover materials.
I would like to spend less time thinking of sentences from scratch and more time watching children's expressions and talking carefully with their parents.
AI does not replace judgment.
We believe that it is a tool to make room for judgment.
But it is always the caregiver who decides which words to choose and what kind of interaction to value.
Time to get the text in order,
To the time to face the child.
Go to the time to talk politely with the parents.
Not to strive for perfection,
We'll try it together first.
As a place to improve the quality of childcare work,
Miraiku AI Lab was launched.
With people in the childcare field across the country,
The Form of AI for Use in Childcare".
I hope we can think about this together.

Future Development
February 20, 2026: Prototype implementation at Deputy Chiefs meeting.
Around April-September 2026: Full-scale start-up of the lab in online format (expected to occur 1-2 times per month)
As needed: soliciting opinions and sharing case studies from across the country
In the future, we aim to compile examples of actual AI applications used in childcare settings and share them in a form that can be used as a reference in the field.
