Childcare record application "PiyoLog" linked with "Childcare Support System Registry" to start providing information on local government childcare support systems.

Providing information on local government childcare support systems with individually optimized timing

- The following is content from the press release -

The childcare record application “PiyoLog” will start to be linked with the “Childcare Support System Registry” maintained by the Japanese government, and information on childcare support systems provided by local governments across the country will gradually be made available within the application. This collaboration will create an environment in which child-rearing households can receive necessary information on systems at the “most appropriate timing” and eliminate problems such as "I didn't know about the support system" or "I forgot to apply for the support system. The goal is to eliminate problems such as "I was unaware of the support system" or "I forgot to apply for it.

Background: "Necessary support is not being delivered" issue amidst diversified systems.

Many childcare support programs exist throughout Japan, but their contents and application procedures vary greatly from municipality to municipality.

This places a heavy burden on the guardians to look up information on their own, and it has been pointed out that there is a current situation in which some guardians fail to receive benefits or forget to receive medical checkups.

To resolve this issue, the government has developed the Child Care Support System Registry as a "mechanism for optimal delivery of necessary information" and is promoting collaboration with private-sector child care applications.

Key Points of this Collaboration

1. Obtain national institutional information via the registry

The Child Care Support System Registry is a database that structures and consolidates information on systems of local governments throughout Japan. It provides data based on a unified format, including the official name of the system, eligibility, application method, required documents, and implementation period.

2. PYOROG informs users of the best timing

PiyoLog is based on registry information and the user's childcare situation (e.g., age of child, place of residence, etc.),

  • health checkup
  • payment
  • inquiry counter
  • Service Usage Information

and other institutional information will be delivered within the application at the appropriate time.
