(Head office: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Rina Kaneki), operator of the baby goods review site "Babiew," has raised funds through a third-party allotment and debt financing from Startup Factory No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership, a fund for toC headed by Osamu Suzuki, and Kirabo Consulting Inc. (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Rina Kaneki, CEO) raised funds through a third-party allocation of new shares and debt financing from Kcon Innovation No. 1 Investment Limited Partnership, a fund for toC businesses headed by Osamu Suzuki, and Kiraboshi Consulting.
The funds raised will be used mainly for product improvements, organizational expansion through hiring new staff, and service awareness expansion in order to accelerate the selection of baby goods and update the purchasing experience during pregnancy and immediately after the birth of the baby.
The area of childcare x tech is one of the fastest-growing areas expected to reduce the burden on mothers and fathers as the number of dual-earner households continues to increase.
According to a survey*1 conducted by Beview, 90% moms and dads said that they "referred to word of mouth" when making decisions about purchasing baby products. Based on the unique value of more than 10,000 "trusted word-of-mouth based on usage experience," Beview is targeting moms and dads who are ready to make a purchase, and will update their child-rearing environment to be happier with unique solutions that combine online and real-life experiences.
