--Projector-based picture book "Dream Switch" ----2025, October 23, 2013 (Thursday) --
- The following is content from the press release -
(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yukio Sugino; hereafter "SEGA Fave") conducted a bedtime behavior survey among 700 parents with children aged 1-7. The results revealed that "one out of four parents (25.71%) do not have an ideal bedtime routine. Furthermore, it was found that "the ideal time for children to fall asleep is around 20:00, while the reality is around 21:00," resulting in a gap of one hour.
In response to these issues, SEGA FEVE announces the release on October 23, 2025 (Thursday) of the "Dream Switch Basic Set" (MSRP 9,350 yen including tax), a projector-type picture book that provides a "pre-sleep routine" to gently prepare for the hour before bedtime. Responding to the needs of children for a healthy sleep in advance, we deliver a new "bedtime routine" that gently guides the flow of sleep from before arrival in the bedroom to falling asleep.

Dream Switch" to support the creation of a "bedtime routine
SEGA FEVE supports solutions to the challenges of creating a bedtime environment revealed by this survey with "Dream Switch". The core feature is a projector function that projects a story onto the ceiling or walls of a darkened room.
Since its launch in 2017, it has been supported by many families as a "savior for childcare" by providing a bedtime experience that allows parents and children to share the same story while lying down, leading to a special experience before bedtime and reducing the burden of reading picture books to children.
The latest "Dream Switch" has 36 types of content built into the main unit. In addition to picture book reading, the content lineup includes songs for learning words, animal names, stretching, healing songs, etc., to reduce excitement before bedtime and naturally draw out parent-child interaction. A wide variety of options are available to encourage parent-child conversations such as, "Which one shall we start with today? This lineup of options encourages parents and children to establish a nightly "routine," and is effective in replacing screen dependence. The system supports the creation of an environment that brings children closer to their ideal 20:00-21:00 bedtime routine.
