Tokyo Tatemono Co., Ltd. announces that it has decided to introduce a cab pick-up service for children (the "Service") in collaboration with TOPPAN Corporation and Aiphone Corporation at Brillia Machiya (the "Property"), a condominium for sale being planned by Tokyo Tatemono.
While a high percentage of children, especially elementary school students, attend school or study classes, parents are faced with the burden of transporting their children to and from school. In recent years, the percentage of households with both parents raising children has been increasing, and the burden of transporting children to and from school is a factor that makes it difficult for working parents to balance work and child rearing.
This service is a cab pick-up service for children that connects elementary schools, school children, and classrooms with their homes. The app on the smartphone allows the user to check the scheduled pick-up and drop-off times and the location of the cab, and is also linked to the intercom in the room to notify the arrival of the cab. This is a very convenient and safe way for children without smartphones to get in and out of the car safely.
Tokyo Tatemono's housing co-creation project "bloomoi" provides products and services from a multifaceted perspective through dialogue with customers. Based on a questionnaire survey and group interviews with active child-rearing families, Tokyo Tatemono decided to introduce this service in the belief that it will support the affluent lifestyles of the tenants in this property. Tokyo Tatemono will continue to consider introducing this service according to the characteristics of the property.
Service Overview
This service enables safe and secure transportation of children alone on the day of the ride by designing optimal routes and dispatching cabs based on information provided by reservation requests made in advance via smartphones. 1 In the case of carpooling, the fee is prorated according to the distance of the ride, making it easier than if each family had to arrange for a cab. In addition, Brillia Machiya is linked to the intercom system for apartment complexes provided by Aiphone, so that even children who do not have smartphones can check the arrival of the cab from inside their apartments. This eliminates the need to wait outside until the cab arrives, making pickups and drop-offs safer and more secure. This service is provided by TOPPAN, which operates the "Kodobi®"*2 shared-ride cab pick-up service.
