(headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; Hideyuki Kanegaki, CEO; hereinafter "Picture Book Navi"), operator of the picture book information and mail order site "Picture Book Navi," will participate in the "Book Santa" social contribution project to send books to children organized by the NPO Charity Santa (located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Natsuki Seisuke, Representative Director) as a special cooperator. (located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Natsuki Seisuke), a non-profit organization, and will participate in the project as a special collaborator.
What is Book Santa (NPO Charity Santa)?
With the slogan "Anyone can be Santa at a bookstore," this project, launched in 2017, is a collaboration between NPOs and bookstores nationwide.
This is an initiative to deliver books to children in various forms in cooperation with more than 300 support groups and child welfare facilities to children across Japan(*) who are currently living in difficult circumstances.
(*) Children in difficult circumstances due to various reasons (economic reasons, illness/hospitalization, bereavement of parents, disaster, etc.)
(1) Accept book donations as an online bookstore.
As of September 2025, 1,851 real bookstores are participating in Book Santa. In addition to this, for those who do not have a Book Santa bookstore nearby or for those who for some reason are unable to visit a bookstore, book donations will be accepted at the official Book Santa online bookstore and at Picture Book Navi.
About the books you can send
The books listed in the online bookstore are based on the overall balance of Book Santa.
Books that are in need from children and families.
Books that are difficult to collect in real bookstores (e.g., books for elementary school students, etc.)
Books recommended by Book Santa supporters and author Santas
These are comprehensively considered and replaced as appropriate.

Long-selling and best-selling books with numerous donations from real bookstores are not listed.
Books that are out of print or hard to find due to low stock are not listed here, as we check the publisher's stock, etc.

(2) "Bookmarks with Charity" will be sold.
The original bookmarks with charity started this year will also be available at Picture Book Navi.
- Messages from children were used in the design: Handwritten comments from children who received the book were used in the design.
- To support bookstores: Half of the bookmark sales will go to NPOs to fund their activities to deliver books (shipping, warehousing, etc.), and half will go to support costs such as reducing the burden of book shipping from bookstores to NPOs.
- Anyone can easily support the activities: Even those who feel it is difficult to donate books can support the activities simply by purchasing these bookmarks.
(3) Donations for Book Santa activities will be accepted on the Picture Book Navi website.
There is a lack of funds to deliver the donated books to the children.
