Sensei Photo" is a service for facilities using the "Photo Sharing and Sales" service of CoDMON, an ICT system for childcare and educational facilities provided by Codomon, and utilizes AI-based facial recognition technology. The latest major enhancements to the service include: (1) the ability to select a good photo of each child equally, (2) the ability to automatically add a face stamp to children who are not eligible for publication, and (3) the ability to automatically correct the brightness and color of the photo.
The expanded functions of "SENSEI PHOTO" will further reduce the burden of photo-sharing work for childcare providers and help staff members of childcare and educational facilities secure more time and mental relaxation when dealing with children.
Background of the Demand for Photo Sharing at Children's Facilities and the Expansion of the "Sensei Photo" Function
Parents who leave their children at daycare centers during the weekdays have a need to know and record their children's daily activities (play, meals, production activities, etc.) while their children are at daycare. There is also a growing need to share information about their children with grandparents and other family members who live far away. Against this backdrop, it is very important to provide information on children's activities during childcare hours through photographs in order to deepen cooperation with parents.
On the other hand, as parents' needs for photo sharing grows, the workload of taking photos in parallel with childcare duties, organizing and sorting them, and distributing and selling them to parents has become an increasing factor for on-site staff.
To solve these issues, in May 2025, we began offering the "Sensei Photo" service, which automatically and accurately categorizes children's photos by class and by child using AI-based facial recognition technology.
