The Association for the Promotion of DX for Children (located in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Hisakazu Takaishi; hereinafter "the Association") will hold a free online study session, "Examples of Generative AI Application in the Field of Child Care and Child Rearing," for its members and local governments on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 (no registration fee/advance registration required).
Background
Since FY2024, the Association has been holding online study sessions for its members on a regular basis to provide the latest information related to Children's DX and to deepen exchanges among member municipalities and companies.
The study session "Advanced Case Study on Children's Data Linkage" held in January this year was highly appreciated by many participants.
In response to the response, we will repeat this study session with a new theme. The workshop is open to all local government officials, regardless of whether or not they are members of the association, and is a great opportunity to gather information and interact with each other.
Theme: "Study Session on Examples of Utilization of Generative AI in the Field of Children and Childcare
In the field of child policy, there is an urgent need to create an environment in which parents and child-rearing families can quickly access necessary information and to reduce the administrative burden on nursery schools and other providers and local government officials.
Against this backdrop, the Child and Family Affairs Agency has established the "Child Policy DX Promotion Team" to realize a "Kodomo Manaka Society" through the promotion of DX, which is expected to utilize advanced technologies such as generative AI.
At this study session, Komae City in Tokyo and Toyonaka City in Osaka Prefecture, which are conducting a demonstration project for the use of generative AI in the field of childcare, are scheduled to speak and introduce the results of last year's demonstration.
This study session is a valuable opportunity for local governments interested in utilizing AI in the area of child support to obtain practical hints.

The Association for the Promotion of Children's DX was established in 2023 mainly for the purpose of system standardization, surveys and research related to Children's DX, and policy proposals related to Children's DX.
