(headquartered in Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Yoshinori Koike, CEO; hereinafter "Codomon") will begin offering "Sensei Talk," a business communication tool for child facilities, on July 8. This communication application enables one-on-one talk among staff members, group chats among multiple staff members, and announcements to the entire facility, making it easy for staff members at child care centers, kindergartens, and other child care facilities to communicate with each other and share information with the entire facility.
Currently, many children's facilities use verbal communication or circulars for business communication, and there are cases of miscommunication such as "said or not said". There are also concerns about the risk of information leakage when staff members use their personal accounts on private chat tools to communicate with each other. SenseiTalk" solves these problems and realizes safe and smooth business communication.
Background of the launch of Sensei Talk
Many children's facilities have various means of communication among staff members, and information is shared through verbal communication and paper circulation. However, there are several problems with verbal and paper-based information sharing. For example, there is a tendency for miscommunication, such as "said or not said," and problems such as the location of important information being lost or the latest information being difficult to find. In addition, since shift work is common at children's facilities, there may be omissions or delays in the transmission of information, such as "I remembered something I should have told them the next morning after I went home," or "I forgot to tell the staff on the late shift what I was supposed to tell the parents.
On the other hand, some facilities have created groups on chat tools that are also used privately for business communication among staff members, which raises security issues. Many facilities use staff members' private personal accounts for business communication, and many staff members say that they had no choice but to use their personal accounts even though they did not want to share their private information with others. The use of personal accounts also increases the risk of accidentally sending information about children to outside parties, and there have been actual cases of erroneous transmissions.
Through regular communication with staff at children's facilities, Codomon has heard of many issues related to business communication. To solve these issues, we have launched "SenseiTalk," based on our belief that a business communication tool specialized for children's facilities is necessary.
75.2% of facilities use personal chat accounts for business communication
In January 2025, Codomon conducted a "Questionnaire on Communication within Facilities" (number of respondents: 1086 facilities nationwide that use the Codomon childcare ICT system). According to the survey, 75.2% of the facilities responded that they "use private accounts of individual staff members" for LINE communication. About 40% of the facilities answered that they use LINE every day, and 20.8% of them use it every day, including on holidays and after work hours, which highlights the fact that communication is conducted even outside of work hours.

On the other hand, about 70% of the facilities responded that they have problems with communication and information sharing, indicating that many facilities have problems with communication among staff members. Specifically, in addition to issues related to information transmission, such as "It is difficult to check who has been informed and to what extent," and "It is difficult to inform the entire staff," many respondents also cited issues related to tool functions, such as "It is difficult to communicate in arbitrary groups, such as events and classes," and "There are no tools for one-on-one communication with specific staff members. In addition, many respondents also cited issues related to tool functions, such as "difficulty in communicating with any group, such as events and classes," and "lack of tools for one-on-one communication with specific staff. In addition, many facilities feel that "using private accounts of staff members is a problem in itself.
Despite these challenges, the continued use of private chat tools can be attributed to the limited number of suitable tools for communication within the facility and the difficulty of mastering them even when introduced.

In addition, a "community function" that allows group communication with teachers outside the facility is scheduled to be released by the end of this year, which will expand usage scenarios such as communication among staff members of sister preschools and use as a communication tool at regional preschool directors' meetings.

CoDMON saves teachers' workload through smart recording of growth records and instructional plans linked with preschooler information, management of preschool arrival and departure, and communication support functions with parents.
