- The following is content from the press release -
(Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Sakurako Katada) is pleased to announce that Kaichiro Furuya, a professor at Kansai University's Faculty of General Informatics and a specialist in social and clinical social psychology, has been appointed as an advisor to Hahakala Inc.

Background of Appointment as Advisor
Currently in Japan, the number of dual-earner households exceeds 701 TP6T, while approximately 80% of the burden of housework and childcare is concentrated on women. This imbalance increases stress in the home, leading to poor communication between spouses and the breakdown of the family.
Below are the changes in full-time homemaker households and dual-earner households (1980-2024).

To solve this problem, Hahakala Inc. has developed and offers "OYA.NOTE," a web application that visualizes housework and childcare tasks and promotes sharing of responsibilities.
By incorporating Kaichiro Furuya's extensive expertise in social and clinical social psychology into OYA.NOTE's service design and new feature development, we aim to develop even more effective and user-friendly services.
Comments by Kaichiro Furuya
I am conducting research aimed at elucidating the psychological health and ill-health mechanisms of caregivers and how to ameliorate such ill-health. From my research to date, I have strongly felt that poor communication within the home has a significant impact not only on the couple's relationship but also on the child's development.
OYA.NOTE" provided by Hahakala Inc. is a wonderful tool that not only reduces the burden of housework and childcare, but also promotes successful dialogue between couples. I look forward to incorporating my professional perspective and actively promoting the development of new features and improvement of existing features based on psychological evidence to contribute to the psychological health and well-being of the entire family.
