Cute!" to elicit empathy and acceptance of treatment. Develop initiatives to reduce psychological resistance to treatment
- The following is content from the press release -

(Head Office: Taito-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Hiroshi Nakano; hereinafter referred to as "Berry") has introduced a popular character from the popular TV program for infants "Shinapushu" (every Friday from 7:30 a.m.), which is aired on TV Tokyo, to "Baby Band", a helmet developed and manufactured by Berry that improves "head distortion" in babies. The product will be available from February 14, 2025.
I want to reduce psychological resistance to the gaze of those around me.
While interest in helmet therapy to improve "head distortion" in babies has been growing recently, awareness of this treatment is still insufficient. Helmet therapy is available to patients who have been diagnosed as having a moderate or higher level of head distortion and whose pathological distortion (e.g., premature skull suture fusion) has been denied by a medical institution. Treatment begins at 2-6 months of age, and the child is required to wear the helmet 23 hours a day.
However, many parents refrain from wearing them when going out due to the surrounding eye contact and psychological resistance caused by wearing them.
Cute!" is a fun treatment experience with a helmet that produces
In order for helmet therapy to be effective, it is essential to ensure sufficient wearing time. The design of the new helmet incorporates the friendly character of "Sinapshu" and aims to provide a fun environment for helmet therapy. The character design is intended to elicit positive reactions from those around the helmets, such as "How cute! This will help reduce the psychological resistance of families to helmet therapy and promote a positive environment for the treatment.
CINAPUSHU" supported by families raising children
The TV Tokyo affiliate "Shinapushu" is the first commercial TV program targeting babies from 0 to 2 years old. In 2021, "Sinapushu" became the talk of the town with its baby clothes developed in collaboration with the apparel brand GU. Currently, "Sinapushu" is collaborating with various companies on childcare products, toys, picture books, and other items.
In May 2023, the movie "CINAPUSHU THE MOVIE PUSHU HOPE DANCING WORLD" will be released, and the second movie "CINAPUSHU THE MOVIE PUSHU HOPE DANCING PARTY" will be released this spring. In addition, a "PUSHU SONG FESTIVAL Nationwide Tour" is currently underway.
Common vision of "Sinapshu" and "Baby Band
Sinapshu aims to provide appropriate stimulation for babies' brain development and to expand their world with a "pshu~". We also place great importance on relaxing the shoulders of families raising babies with a "pshu~" and providing them with the joy and richness of child-rearing.
Baby Band's mission is to support the healthy growth of babies by utilizing their growth potential to correct head distortions.
Sinapshu" and "Baby Band" share a common vision of "staying close to babies and supporting their growth and potential. We support baby's growth in an appropriate and enjoyable way.
Comment from Hiroshi Nakano, Representative Director
Behind the introduction of the "Sinapshu" character design was the desire to increase the social acceptance of helmet therapy and reduce the burden on children who need treatment and their families. I learned that many people are concerned about the way people look at them during treatment, and I wanted to ease this psychological resistance as much as possible, which was the impetus for the development of this character. I am also a big fan of "Sinapshu" myself, and the music and the main character "Pshu Pshu" really helped me during childcare. I hope that this initiative will lead to "sympathy and understanding of treatment," "promotion of early detection and prevention," and "improvement of the quality of medical care.
- Empathy and acceptance of treatment: Aiming for a society in which more families can engage in treatment by raising awareness of helmet therapy through character design.
- Promotion of early detection and prevention: Aiming for a society where correct knowledge about head shape is disseminated and early detection and preventive care are practiced in childcare settings.
- Improving the quality of overall healthcare: Expanding treatment opportunities, supporting the healthy growth of babies, and contributing to improving the quality of healthcare as a whole.
We will continue to develop new initiatives to realize a future in which more families can engage in medical treatment with peace of mind. Aiming for a society in which all people can receive the medical care they need when they need it, we will work to develop and improve the quality of our products utilizing cutting-edge technology, in addition to spreading correct knowledge about head shape.
About "Sinapshu
It is the first commercial TV program for infants and toddlers, broadcast every Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. on the six TV Tokyo affiliate networks. The "synapse," from which the program gets its name, is the connection between nerve cells in the brain. It is said that nerve cells in the brain do not "increase" as the brain grows, but develop by being "connected" by synapses.
With appropriate stimulation, synapses are increased rapidly, leading to brain development, and the baby's world expands with a "pshhhh" and the shoulders of all those who raise babies relax with a "pshhhh~" - that is "Shinapshu. In addition, various contents including archived on-air broadcasts are available for free on the official YouTube channel "Shinapshu ch".

About "Baby Bands

BabyBand, which we began offering in July 2022, has steadily increased the number of medical institutions that have adopted it, and is currently used by more than 130 medical facilities in 30 prefectures throughout Japan.
While interest in the shape of babies' heads is growing, the number of medical institutions offering consultation and treatment is still insufficient nationwide. Therefore, Baby Band is a cranial shape correction helmet made in Japan developed to reduce the burden on babies and their families. It utilizes advanced technology and ergonomics to provide efficient and accurate correction in a treatment that is worn for 2-6 months at a young age.
Furthermore, we continue to make improvements with advice from physicians in neonatology, pediatrics, and neurosurgery, aiming to "make treatment accessible to everyone without burden.
