- The following is content from the press release -
(Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kei Kawashima) has added a new application teaching material, "Nazorobo," to its correspondence course "Wonderbox," which allows students to enjoy learning STEAM education materials at home. The new application "Nazorobo" is a fun way to experience the process of hypothetical thinking under the theme of "Making the 'I don't know' fun.
In addition, until December 25, 2024 (Wednesday), as a Christmas-only campaign, those who enroll in Wonder Box during this period will receive a special prize for each course they take.
About Nazorobo
Wonder Box is a distance learning service that fosters thinking and creativity through STEAM materials in areas such as programming, science, and art. In the four years since its launch, the service has been well received by children and their parents as a service that uses new ideas and technologies to bring out an unparalleled intellectual excitement.
The newly released "Nazorobo" from Wonderbox is a completely new learning content that allows users to experience the fun of making, testing, and verifying hypotheses based on the theme of "learning to love what you don't understand.
Features of "Nazorobo
1. Text Zero Design
Eliminates all explanations of rules and clearing conditions to maximize the fun of thinking.
2. Simple design
Since it consists only of simple shapes and elements, it fosters the ability to think for oneself without being distracted by visual information.
In this stage, only multiple lights and buttons appear on the screen. At first glance, it looks as if we do not know what to do, but since the glowing lights move when the buttons are pressed and there is only one large light, we can hypothesize that we can use the buttons to make the large light shine.
3. The joy of completing the robot
The mechanism whereby the robot is completed as it solves each problem motivates students to continue learning in a fun way.
Delivery Schedule and Eligible Courses
Nazorobo" was launched in the November 2024 issue (distributed on October 25) as part of the Wonder Box Junior Course (for middle school students). In addition, the second and third contents with new questions will be available from the January 2025 issue (distributed on December 25).

Comments from the creators of Nazorobo
Nazorobo" was created with the hope that children will be able to think positively about things they do not understand at first glance, saying, "That looks interesting" or "Let's try something for the first time. Many of us, adults and children alike, tend to shy away from things that are new to us because we don't understand what they are.
Therefore, "Nazorobo" has eliminated rules, explanations, and the use of decorative designs and motifs to the utmost limit. It is designed so that children can naturally experience the "fun of trying things they don't understand" through trial and error by forming hypotheses while touching simple items. The seemingly unfriendly design reflects our wish to provide children with an opportunity to take the first step and "try first.
We hope "Nazorobo" will expand children's learning possibilities and encourage them to take on new challenges.
