Responses from those who do not use the service
▼Reasons for response
0 "I would like to utilize it actively in the future, if anything."
It is hoped that this will help reduce the workload of childcare workers.
I think it is inevitable, and we should actively consider utilizing it.
The staff at the day-care center has little knowledge of ICT and AI, so there is a large element of uncertainty.
0 "I would rather not utilize it, if possible."
...I have a concern that I don't understand.
I can't imagine how it would be used in a childcare setting.
I question the performance of the AI. It can give quite wrong information and I am very concerned about the risk of giving it out to parents without being able to scrutinize it.
I think childcare is a living thing, so can we use statistical data from AI? I think so.
Responses from those who use
▼Reasons for response
0Would like to make active use of it in the future, rather than less
We would like to utilize this service if it will save administrative time in childcare.
I'd like to use it if it saves time, but I'm not sure if it will bias my thinking.
We are now considering the use of AI in our society as a whole, because it is impossible to avoid it, and we would like to make the most of it to create more time for our children.
0Referring to the above, I would rather not utilize it, and if possible, I would rather not utilize it
It is easy to centralize insights and records for each child.
The text is a direct translation, so it is necessary to rework the parts of the text that are not correct as Japanese.
Among those who use generative AI, 96.5% want to use it, indicating that they are willing to use it in the future if it leads to labor savings in their work. For those who have not yet used AI, 61.9% of them want to use it, but many of them expressed vague concerns about it in their free answers. In promoting the use of generative AI, it will be necessary to find ways to address and resolve these concerns.
Q7 What kind of generative AI functionality would you like to see provided by childcare ICT (including codmon) in the future? Please describe freely.
- Automatic creation of various greeting card drafts, weekly and daily plans (instructional plans, etc.)
- Ability to summarize daily childcare records and compile them into content that can be used to create a summary record.
- Not sure at this time what it can be utilized for in the childcare field.
We received responses both describing specific tasks and saying that they are not sure at this time. It will be important to consider the development of functions based on what functions are required in the childcare field.
Appropriate use of "childcare AI" is required in the field of childcare, based on what it should be, not on what "childcare AI" is.
In response to the survey results
From the survey results, we learned that many facilities have concerns about the use of generative AI, and that it is difficult to leave everything to generative AI. On the other hand, there are many who have high expectations for the use of generated AI, and we would like to proactively consider how to utilize it itself. We will continue to consider the use of AI from the perspective of what it should be, referring to the voices of staff members at childcare facilities.
