Background of the Demonstration Experiment
Toyonaka City, which aims to be the "No. 1 city for ease of raising children," is developing measures to support the child-rearing environment from multiple perspectives under the three projects of "Eliminating the First Grade Barrier," "Raising the Quality of Education and Opportunities to a High Level," and "Supporting Children and Childrearing as a Whole". （（Japanese onlyToyonaka City HP)
According to a survey conducted by Toyonaka City in FY2023 targeting parents with preschool and elementary school-aged children, the percentage of parents who feel anxious and mentally burdened in child-rearing has increased since the previous survey (FY 2008), and various measures are needed.
The sense of burden faced by households raising children includes various factors other than anxiety and mental health, and it is assumed that the lack of time is one of the factors contributing to the burden faced by households raising children.
Problem solving through public-private partnerships
In light of the above situation, Toyonaka City has decided that the transportation of children, in particular, is something that needs to be repeated on a regular basis, and that a substitute service would make it easier for parents to have more time to spare, so Toyonaka City has established the Local Problem Solving Support Project, which aims to solve local problems in cooperation with businesses.UrbanInnovationToOYONAKA(Yokohama, Japan; Yohei Toyoda, President) was selected for this project and will conduct the first demonstration experiment on child transportation in the Kansai region with the cooperation of Toyonaka City.
Outline of the Demonstration Experiment
15 pairs of households will be selected by lottery to use the service. hav, a reservation application provided by hav, will send a pick-up request by entering the pick-up/drop-off location, time, and facilities to be used. hav will contact you with the confirmed reservation route and time, and you will board the bus on the day of the pick-up.
