A total of 41 ICT products for pregnancy, childbirth, childcare and childcare, certified as high quality, received the "BabyTech(R) Awards 2024"!

Secondary judging for the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Special Award in each category begins on September 11.

The BabyTech(R) Awards Executive Committee has completed the first round of judging at the BabyTech(R) Awards 2024 ("BTA2024"), a contest to recognize outstanding childcare IT products, services, and childcare appliances.

Out of 65 entries, 41 will be recognized as high-quality BabyTech products and announced as "BabyTech(R) Awards 2024" winners.

In the second round of judging, which will begin on September 11, the Grand Prize and Awards of Excellence in 11 categories will be selected from the BTA2024 award-winning products.

About the Secondary Screening

From among the BTA2024 award-winning products (those that pass the preliminary screening), the Grand Prize, Excellence Award, Special Award, and other prizes in each category will be selected through a secondary screening process that will begin on September 11, 2024, which will consist of sample trials, online presentations, or video submissions. The Grand Prize, Excellence Award, and Special Award will be announced on October 31, 2024.

What is BabyTech?

BabyTech (BabyTech / BabyTech) refers to technological products and services that support all aspects of housework, work, and lifestyle by utilizing IoT (Internet of Things) and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) to support child-rearing, mainly from pregnancy and gestation to pre-school age.

We position advanced BabyTech as the use of advanced technologies represented by AI, IoT, etc.

We believe that this is a very significant first step to help consumers envision and adopt child-rearing with technology by positioning appliances and Internet services that help with housework and lifestyle while raising children as the gateway to BabyTech.

For example, online calls with remote relatives, apps and websites that provide childcare information to moms and dads, and home appliances such as robot vacuum cleaners and dishwashers that support housework during childcare can also be considered baby tech in the broadest sense.

The BabyTech(R) Awards is one of the largest awards in Japan dedicated to childcare-related ICT, with the aim of raising awareness of the baby tech market and promoting outstanding products and services. Award-winning products and services are selected through a rigorous screening process by a panel of experts.
