Hello! I am Ogamari.
In an online community for moms that I manage, we recently had a discussion on the topic of "sharing household chores between couples". There were quite a few moms who were stressed by the uneven division of chores between husband and wife and the existence of "unnamed chores and childcare".
So I searched for a service that would solve the problem, and I found an application "Pairwork" that is just too good to be true, so let me introduce it to you!
An application that allows couples to visualize numerically the status of their share of household chores!
Pairwork" is a housework sharing application for working couples and many other pairs, provided by KDDI Group's mediba Inc. It helps working couples share household chores by registering detailed household chores and visualizing who was in charge of the chores and the time spent on them!
App Store:https://apps.apple.com/app/id6464381260
Google Play:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.mediba.pairwork
Pairing a couple's accounts
After downloading the application, register your profile.
Your partner does the same, downloading the app and registering a profile to pair the two accounts, which can be easily done by reading a QR code or entering your partner's MyCode.
Registering household chores done at home.
After pairing is complete, the first step is to register the chores to be performed in the home.
There is already a list of basic household tasks from which you can choose, but the granularity of the list is very fine...! The actions that we usually do without thinking about them are visualized beautifully. Enter the frequency and time required for each one, and add them to the list of chores.
In the childcare category, I was also impressed by the list of things that can be time-consuming and troublesome, such as nail clippers and ear cleaners for children...!
It is possible to register chores that are not on the existing list, but it may be to the point where it is more difficult to find a chore that is not listed (laugh).
Check and record the chores assigned!
Registered chores will be displayed on the home screen by frequency. All you have to do is check the tasks you have performed, and the time will be added to your "Today's hard-working housework time"! You can check the numbers to see which one was in charge of what and how much.
To be honest, even just registering for the housework, I felt again that "we are... working hard every day...!" (laugh).
Hourly rate for effort put into housework!
Moreover, this app not only visualizes time, but also allows you to "convert" chores into an hourly rate!
The two of us can decide the hourly rate for housework. I set mine at "1,250 yen" and proposed it to my husband. Once an agreement is reached with the pair, the calculation of the hourly wage begins.
You can check the hourly wage simulation on the "Reports" page. What a great way to get the difference reimbursed...! I don't think it will be the kind of operation that actually settles the difference at our house, but I feel that I can get a better sense of the specific weight and daily effort of the person in charge when I see it in monetary terms!
Although the app is titled "Housework App for Working Couples," we feel that it is useful regardless of each other's working status. We recommend that couples who are having trouble dividing household chores consider introducing this app!
Child of the Week.
He is now 1 year and 9 months old. He finally stopped riding in the stroller. Even at daycare, when asked, "Do you want to ride in the cart?" he is refusing with all his might.
