summary

While it is recommended that nursery school children be monitored every five minutes by nursery school nurses, Bebisapo notifies them of this five-minute cycle with light and a melody.

The system notifies you when the infant is sleeping well, usually in 5-minute cycles, and as soon as the infant's face is obscured, such as when he or she is lying on his or her back. The meditative lamp display blends in comfortably with its surroundings while preventing accidental forgetting and reducing the psychological burden on nursery staff.

Background of Development

It was developed in collaboration with Bic Mamma Co., Ltd. which operates the nursery school "Bic Mamaland" in Sendai City and Tokyo. The system has been installed in the Bic Mama Land preschool and incorporates the voices of daycare workers who actually use the system. The system was developed in response to the voices of nursery staff who wanted a support system that could check the movements of children during nap time with a camera and notify the nursery staff of such movements.

Explanatory and PR videos

BabyTech Editor's Comment.

The purpose of this service is to ease the burden on caregivers by providing a safer noontime monitoring environment through live camera monitoring, which is a staple of BabyTech's safety management.
Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) is the most important factor to avoid in infant care settings. In order to prevent SIDS, we have established a system to protect the safety of infants by quickly raising an alert when the infant's face is out of sight.

It should be noted that the service content has been refined in an environment where so-called "dock fooding" is possible through joint development by Tripod Works, Inc. which manufactures the product, and Bic Mama, Inc. which operates the "Bic Mama Land" daycare centers in Sendai City and Tokyo. How will they sublimate the know-how utilized in the field of childcare to develop new services and expand functions? We look forward to future developments.
